क्रिकेट के दौर में बैडमिंटन की चमक: जमशेदपुर में मयंक और अभिनव ने बढ़ाया बेरमो का मान

गोमिया—- जहां आज अधिकांश युवा क्रिकेट को अपना सपना मानते हैं, वहीं बेरमो कोयलांचल के दो उभरते बैडमिंटन खिलाड़ियों मयंक कुमार सिंह और अभिनव कुमार ने अपनी प्रतिभा के दम पर यह साबित कर दिया कि अन्य खेलों में भी क्षेत्र के खिलाड़ी बड़ी पहचान बना सकते हैं। जमशेदपुर के बिष्टुपुर स्थित जेआरडी टाटा स्पोर्ट्स कॉम्प्लेक्स में 25 एवं 26 जुलाई को आयोजित 2nd Racket Sports Fest-2026 के अंतर्गत हुई अंडर-17 बैडमिंटन प्रतियोगिता में दोनों खिलाड़ियों ने शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए बेरमो का गौरव बढ़ाया।
प्रतियोगिता में मयंक कुमार सिंह ने विजेता का खिताब अपने नाम किया, जबकि अभिनव कुमार उपविजेता रहे। फाइनल मुकाबले के बाद दोनों खिलाड़ियों को ट्रॉफी, मेडल और प्रमाण-पत्र देकर सम्मानित किया गया। उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन के आधार पर उन्हें राज्य स्तरीय और राष्ट्रीय बैडमिंटन चैंपियनशिप के चयन ट्रायल्स में भी अवसर मिलने की संभावना है।
मयंक कुमार सिंह करगली स्थित डबल स्टोरी निवासी कृष्णा सिंह के पौत्र एवं चन्द्रशेखर कुमार सिंह उर्फ मिंटू सिंह के पुत्र हैं। वहीं उपविजेता अभिनव कुमार करगली गेट स्थित रिवर साइड निवासी रणजीत सिंह के पुत्र हैं।
स्टील स्पोर्ट्स विभाग की ओर से आयोजित इस दो दिवसीय प्रतियोगिता में झारखंड सहित विभिन्न क्षेत्रों के युवा खिलाड़ियों ने भाग लिया। प्रतियोगिता का उद्देश्य उभरते बैडमिंटन खिलाड़ियों को बेहतर मंच उपलब्ध कराना और उनकी प्रतिभा को आगे बढ़ाना था।
मयंक और अभिनव की सफलता ने यह संदेश दिया है कि मेहनत, अनुशासन और सही मार्गदर्शन के बल पर छोटे शहरों के खिलाड़ी भी बड़े मंच पर अपनी पहचान बना सकते हैं। उनकी उपलब्धि से क्षेत्र के बच्चों और अभिभावकों में भी बैडमिंटन सहित अन्य खेलों के प्रति नया उत्साह देखने को मिल रहा है।
जमशेदपुर से लौटने पर दोनों खिलाड़ियों का स्थानीय लोगों ने फूल-मालाओं और मिठाइयों के साथ जोरदार स्वागत किया। उनकी इस उपलब्धि पर विधायक कुमार जयमंगल सिंह, पूर्व सांसद रवींद्र कुमार पांडेय, इनमोसा के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष विजय कुमार सिंह, यूथ कांग्रेस के पूर्व प्रदेश अध्यक्ष कुमार गौरव, मजदूर नेता बैजनाथ सिंह, वार्ड पार्षद रश्मि सिंह एवं अर्चना सिंह सहित अनुग्रह नारायण सिंह, इन्द्रजीत मुखर्जी, मुन्ना सिंह, विशाल सिंह, रवि सिंह, दिनेश यादव, राकेश सिंह, उत्तम सिंह, दौलत महतो, मनोज कुमार, विवेक सिंह, टिंकू सिंह, चीकू सिंह, रणजीत सिंह, रवि दूबे समेत अनेक खेलप्रेमियों ने बधाई देते हुए दोनों खिलाड़ियों के उज्ज्वल भविष्य की कामना की।
