गुमला में 13 से 15 अगस्त तक ‘स्मैशथॉन 2.0’, बैडमिंटन कोर्ट पर दिखेगा खिलाड़ियों का दम

गुमला: जिला खेल विभाग और जिला बैडमिंटन संघ के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में 13 से 15 अगस्त 2026 तक इंडोर स्टेडियम, गुमला में तीन दिवसीय ‘स्मैशथॉन 2.0’ जिला बैडमिंटन टूर्नामेंट आयोजित किया जाएगा। प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन गुमला उपायुक्त दिलेश्वर महत्तो के निर्देश पर किया जा रहा है। इसका उद्देश्य जिले में खेल भावना, फिटनेस और आपसी सौहार्द को बढ़ावा देने के साथ स्थानीय खिलाड़ियों को बेहतर मंच उपलब्ध कराना है।

‘बड़ा कोर्ट, बड़ा गौरव’ थीम पर आयोजित इस प्रतियोगिता में अलग-अलग आयु वर्ग के खिलाड़ी अपनी प्रतिभा का प्रदर्शन करेंगे। जूनियर वर्ग में अंडर-14 और अंडर-17 बालक एवं बालिका वर्ग के लिए एकल और युगल मुकाबले होंगे।

इसके अलावा 30 वर्ष से कम आयु के खिलाड़ियों के लिए ओपन कैटेगरी, 30 से 55 वर्ष तक के खिलाड़ियों के लिए मास्टर्स कैटेगरी और 55 वर्ष से अधिक आयु के खिलाड़ियों के लिए वेटरन्स कैटेगरी में युगल मुकाबले आयोजित किए जाएंगे। खिलाड़ियों को अपनी आयु और निर्धारित श्रेणी के अनुसार प्रतियोगिता में हिस्सा लेने का अवसर मिलेगा।

15 अगस्त को अधिकारियों का भी होगा मुकाबला

प्रतियोगिता को और अधिक सहभागितापूर्ण बनाने के लिए 15 अगस्त को जिला प्रशासन के अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों के बीच विशेष प्रदर्शनी डबल्स मैच भी आयोजित किया जाएगा। इसमें जिले के विभिन्न विभागों के पदाधिकारी और कर्मचारी बैडमिंटन कोर्ट पर उतरेंगे।

आयोजकों के मुताबिक, इस पहल से खिलाड़ियों का उत्साह बढ़ाने के साथ जिले में खेल संस्कृति को प्रोत्साहन मिलेगा। साथ ही प्रशासन और खेल समुदाय के बीच बेहतर समन्वय स्थापित करने में भी मदद मिलेगी।

जिला खेल विभाग और जिला बैडमिंटन संघ ने जिले के खिलाड़ियों एवं खेलप्रेमियों से प्रतियोगिता में सक्रिय रूप से भाग लेने और आयोजन को सफल बनाने की अपील की है। ‘स्मैशथॉन 2.0’ के जरिए युवा बैडमिंटन खिलाड़ियों को अपनी प्रतिभा दिखाने का मंच मिलने के साथ जिले में बैडमिंटन को बढ़ावा देने की दिशा में भी प्रयास किया जा रहा है।
