गुमला : – गुमला जिला में मानसून की स्थिति को देखते हुए जिले में सर्पदंश की घटना अधिक देखने को मिल रही है।ऐसी स्थिति को देखते हुए सिविल सर्जन, गुमला शंभूनाथ चौधरी द्वारा जिलेवासियों से सर्पदंश की स्थिति में झाड़-फूंक के बजाय तत्काल सरकारी अस्पताल पहुंचकर समुचित उपचार कराने की अपील की गई है।
सिविल सर्जन ने बताया कि बरसात के मौसम में सांप अपने बिलों से निकलकर मानव आवासीय क्षेत्रों में प्रवेश कर जाते हैं। ऐसे में अनजाने में सांप पर पैर पड़ने या उसके संपर्क में आने से सर्पदंश की घटनाएं हो सकती हैं। समय पर उपचार नहीं मिलने पर सर्पदंश जानलेवा हो सकता है।
उन्होंने कहा कि सर्पदंश की स्थिति में समय अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है। मरीज को यथाशीघ्र नजदीकी सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र, रेफरल इकाई अथवा सदर अस्पताल पहुंचाया जाए। जिले के सरकारी स्वास्थ्य संस्थानों में सर्पदंश के उपचार के लिए आवश्यक दवाएं पर्याप्त मात्रा में उपलब्ध हैं।
सिविल सर्जन ने विशेष रूप से अपील करते हुए कहा कि सर्पदंश के बाद मरीज को बहुत कसकर पट्टी, बैंडेज अथवा टूर्निकेट न बांधें। प्रभावित अंग को स्थिर रखें तथा मरीज को अनावश्यक रूप से चलने-फिरने न दें। किसी भी स्थिति में अस्पताल पहुंचने में देरी न करें। उन्होंने कहा कि यदि किसी व्यक्ति को झाड़-फूंक में विश्वास है, तो वह अपनी मान्यता के अनुसार अन्य कार्य कर सकता है, लेकिन मरीज का चिकित्सकीय उपचार किसी भी परिस्थिति में नहीं रोका जाना चाहिए।
सिविल सर्जन ने बताया कि पिछले एक माह में जिले के सरकारी अस्पतालों में सर्पदंश के 156 मामले सामने आए हैं, जिनमें एक भी मृत्यु दर्ज नहीं हुई है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह आंकड़ा केवल उन मरीजों का है जो उपचार के लिए स्वास्थ्य संस्थानों तक पहुंचे। ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में कई लोग अस्पताल नहीं पहुंचते और झाड़-फूंक आदि पर निर्भर रहते हैं, जिससे समय पर उपचार नहीं मिलने के कारण गंभीर परिणाम सामने आ सकते हैं।
उन्होंने जिलेवासियों से अपील की कि सर्पदंश की स्थिति में घबराएं नहीं और समय बर्बाद किए बिना मरीज को तत्काल नजदीकी सरकारी स्वास्थ्य केंद्र अथवा सदर अस्पताल लेकर आएं। समय पर चिकित्सकीय उपचार से सर्पदंश का प्रभावी उपचार संभव है।
