धार्मिक झांकी में अजगरों का प्रदर्शन पड़ा भारी, वन विभाग ने दो संरक्षित अजगर किए रेस्क्यू

Gomia – धार्मिक आयोजनों में वन्यजीवों के प्रदर्शन पर रोक के बावजूद ‘डाक बम’ की झांकी में दो अजगरों का प्रदर्शन किए जाने का मामला सामने आया है। सूचना मिलने पर चास वन विभाग की टीम ने कार्रवाई करते हुए भजन मंडली के कब्जे से दोनों संरक्षित भारतीय रॉक पाइथन (अजगर) को सुरक्षित रेस्क्यू कर लिया।
बताया गया कि 8 अगस्त को चास क्षेत्र में निकाली गई ‘डाक बम’ झांकी के दौरान भजन मंडली द्वारा दोनों अजगरों को प्रदर्शन के लिए रखा गया था। वन विभाग को इसकी जानकारी मिली। 11 अगस्त को भी इसी तरह का कार्यक्रम होने की सूचना पर विभाग की टीम सक्रिय हुई और मौके पर पहुंची।
धार्मिक आयोजन होने के कारण वन विभाग की टीम ने पूरी संवेदनशीलता के साथ कार्रवाई की। कार्यक्रम समाप्त होने के बाद आयोजकों को वन्यजीव संरक्षण कानून के प्रावधानों की जानकारी दी गई और दोनों अजगरों को अपने कब्जे में लिया गया।
रेस्क्यू के दौरान हुआ विरोध
अजगरों को कब्जे में लेने के दौरान कुछ लोगों ने विरोध करते हुए उन्हें वापस करने की मांग की। स्थिति को देखते हुए वन विभाग के वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों ने हस्तक्षेप किया। अधिकारियों की समझाइश के बाद मामला शांत हुआ और दोनों अजगरों को सुरक्षित तरीके से रेस्क्यू कर लिया गया।
प्राकृतिक आवास में छोड़े गए अजगर
वन विभाग के अनुसार दोनों अजगर वन्यजीव संरक्षण अधिनियम, 1972 की अनुसूची-I के तहत संरक्षित हैं। आवश्यक प्रक्रिया पूरी करने के बाद दोनों को उनके प्राकृतिक आवास में सुरक्षित मुक्त कर दिया गया।
वन विभाग ने लोगों से अपील की है कि वन्यजीवों को धार्मिक आयोजन, मनोरंजन अथवा प्रदर्शन का हिस्सा न बनाएं। किसी भी वन्यजीव के मिलने पर उसे स्वयं पकड़ने के बजाय तत्काल वन विभाग या अधिकृत रेस्क्यू टीम को सूचना दें। अधिकारियों ने कहा कि वन्यजीवों की सुरक्षा करना पर्यावरण और प्राकृतिक विरासत की रक्षा करना है।
