विद्यार्थी अधिक से अधिक समय पुस्तकालय में बिताए: कुलपति प्रो चंद्र भूषण शर्मा
“एआई के दौर में पुस्तकालय की प्रासंगिकता” पर भाषण प्रतियोगिता आयोजित
राष्ट्रीय पुस्तकालय अध्यक्ष दिवस के अवसर पर पुस्तकालय एवं सूचना विज्ञान विभाग, विनोबा भावे विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा आर्यभट्ट सभागार में बुधवार को एक समारोह का आयोजन किया गया। इस अवसर पर पुस्तकालय विज्ञान के प्रणेता डॉ एस आर रंगनाथन के छायाचित्र पर पुष्पार्पण कर भावभीनी श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की गई।
समारोह के मुख्य अतिथि विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति प्रो चंद्र भूषण शर्मा ने अपने उद्बोधन में व्यक्ति के जीवन में पुस्तक और पुस्तकालय की भूमिकाओं के विविध आयामों की चर्चा की। बदलते दौर में ज्ञान और विज्ञान के क्षेत्र में होने वाले परिवर्तनों एवं पुस्तकालय के बदलते स्वरूप के बारे में भी उन्होंने विस्तार से बताया। पुस्तकालय की उपादेयता की ओर ध्यान आकृष्ट करते हुए विद्यार्थियों से पुस्तकालय में अधिक से अधिक समय बिताने का आह्वान किया। निकट भविष्य में यहां के विद्यार्थियों द्वारा बनारस हिंदू विश्वविद्यालय (BHU) के पुस्तकालय का परिभ्रमण करने की बात कही।
छात्र कल्याण संकायाध्यक्ष डॉ विकास कुमार ने पुस्तकालय के ऐतिहासिक पृष्ठभूमि पर प्रकाश डाला। पुस्तकालयों के बदलते परिवेश की चर्चा की। जीवन में पुस्तक की महत्ता से विद्यार्थियों को रूबरू करवाया। कुलसचिव श्री सुरेंद्र प्रसाद कुशवाहा ने अपने अध्ययन काल में जवाहरलाल नेहरू विश्वविद्यालय में पुस्तकालयाध्यक्ष एवं पुस्तकालय के कर्मियों की भूमिकाओं की ओर ध्यान आकृष्ट करते हुए पुस्तकालय के महत्व पर प्रकाश डाला।
इस अवसर पर डॉ सुकल्याण मोइत्रा, डॉ विनोद कुमार , अरविंद नाथ सिंह चौधरी एवं मोहम्मद अरशद आलम ने भी अपने विचार रखें। पुस्तकालय एवं सूचना विज्ञान विभाग के निदेशक डॉ विनोद रंजन ने विद्यार्थियों को पुस्तक एवं पुस्तकालय की जीवन में उपादेयता पर चर्चा की। उन्होंने बदलते दौर के साथ पुस्तकालय के बदलते स्वरूप को जानने और समझने की आवश्यकता को बताया।
इस अवसर पर “एआई के दौर में पुस्तकालय की प्रासंगिकता” विषय पर भाषण प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया । भाषण प्रतियोगिता में सीमा कुमारी ने प्रथम स्थान, प्रभात कुमार सिन्हा ने द्वितीय स्थान एवं मीनाक्षी कुमारी ने तृतीय स्थान प्राप्त किया।
कार्यक्रम को सफल बनाने में विभाग के विद्यार्थियों ने मंटू कुमार के नेतृत्व में अहम भूमिका निभाई। मंच संचालन छात्र आकाश एवं ऋषभ ने किया। भाषण प्रतियोगिता में विजेताओं के अतिरिक्त अंकित कुमार, मंटू कुमार, नवनीत कुमार, प्रीति कुमारी, सृष्टि सिंह एवं ऋषभ राज ने भाग लिया।
