राष्ट्रीय खेल दिवस पर गुमला में खेलों का उत्साह, हॉकी और फुटबॉल में आवासीय टीमों ने मारी बाजी

गुमला: राष्ट्रीय खेल दिवस और महान हॉकी खिलाड़ी मेजर ध्यानचंद की जयंती के अवसर पर शनिवार को गुमला में हॉकी और फुटबॉल प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन किया गया। जिला खेल विभाग, गुमला और हॉकी गुमला के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में आयोजित इन मुकाबलों में खिलाड़ियों ने शानदार प्रदर्शन किया। दोनों प्रतियोगिताओं में आवासीय टीमों ने जीत दर्ज की।

कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन मुख्य अतिथि जिला खेल पदाधिकारी प्रवीण कुमार, हॉकी गुमला की सह-सचिव रश्मि मिंज और सचिव नोरबट कुजूर ने किया। इस दौरान खिलाड़ियों को मेजर ध्यानचंद के खेल जीवन और उनके आदर्शों से प्रेरणा लेने की बात कही गई।

जिला खेल पदाधिकारी प्रवीण कुमार ने खिलाड़ियों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि खेल के क्षेत्र में सफलता हासिल करने के लिए कड़ी मेहनत, अनुशासन और नियमित अभ्यास जरूरी है। उन्होंने खिलाड़ियों से खेल भावना के साथ आगे बढ़ने और बेहतर प्रदर्शन करने का आह्वान किया।

हॉकी में 4-0 से जीती आवासीय टीम

संत इग्नासियुस एस्ट्रोटर्फ मैदान में खेले गए हॉकी मुकाबले में संत इग्नासियुस उच्च विद्यालय स्थित आवासीय बालक हॉकी केंद्र, गुमला की टीम ने शानदार खेल दिखाया। टीम ने हॉकी मंझाटोली को 4-0 से करारी शिकस्त देकर मुकाबला अपने नाम किया।

फुटबॉल में भी आवासीय टीम का दबदबा

वहीं, अल्बर्ट एक्का स्टेडियम में आयोजित फुटबॉल मुकाबले में भी आवासीय टीम ने शानदार प्रदर्शन किया। आवासीय फुटबॉल टीम ने डे-बोर्डिंग टीम को 3-0 से हराकर जीत दर्ज की।

पूरे मुकाबले के दौरान खिलाड़ियों में जबरदस्त उत्साह देखने को मिला। प्रतियोगिताओं का उद्देश्य जिले के खिलाड़ियों को अपनी प्रतिभा दिखाने के साथ-साथ अनुशासन, खेल भावना और बेहतर प्रदर्शन के लिए प्रेरित करना रहा।

इस अवसर पर आवासीय एथलेटिक्स प्रशिक्षक मनोज कुमार पाल, आवासीय हॉकी प्रशिक्षक शंभु कुमार, आवासीय बैडमिंटन प्रशिक्षक सौरव कुमार, फुटबॉल प्रशिक्षक रिज़वान अली, अनिता बेक, महावीर लोहरा समेत खेल विभाग के अन्य सदस्य मौजूद रहे।

30 अगस्त को होगी प्रभात साइकिलिंग रैली

राष्ट्रीय खेल दिवस के तहत आयोजित कार्यक्रमों का सिलसिला यहीं खत्म नहीं होगा। 30 अगस्त 2026 की सुबह प्रभात साइकिलिंग रैली का आयोजन किया जाएगा। इसके जरिए लोगों और युवाओं को खेलों से जुड़ने तथा फिटनेस के प्रति जागरूक रहने का संदेश दिया जाएगा।
