गुमला: तंबाकू और निकोटीन की लत से होने वाले नुकसान के साथ-साथ सुरक्षित खानपान को लेकर गुमला के पॉलिटेक्निक कॉलेज में छात्र-छात्राओं को जागरूक किया गया। कार्यक्रम में 100 से ज्यादा विद्यार्थियों ने हिस्सा लिया। वहीं, जागरूकता कार्यक्रम के बाद खाद्य सुरक्षा विभाग की टीम ने पालकोट रोड स्थित एक डेयरी प्रतिष्ठान का भी जायजा लिया।
कार्यक्रम का नेतृत्व खाद्य सुरक्षा पदाधिकारी प्रकाश चंद्र गुग्गी और तंबाकू निषेध पदाधिकारी वंदना स्मिता होरो ने किया। तंबाकू निषेध पदाधिकारी ने छात्रों को तंबाकू और निकोटीन के सेवन से होने वाले शारीरिक और मानसिक नुकसान के बारे में जानकारी दी। विशेष वीडियो के जरिए यह भी बताया गया कि निकोटीन का असर मस्तिष्क, हृदय, फेफड़ों और तंत्रिका तंत्र पर पड़ सकता है और युवाओं में इसकी लत विकसित हो सकती है।
मिलावटी खाने से बचने की दी सलाह
खाद्य सुरक्षा पदाधिकारी प्रकाश चंद्र गुग्गी ने विद्यार्थियों को साफ-सफाई और सुरक्षित खानपान के महत्व के बारे में बताया। उन्होंने मिलावटी और अस्वच्छ खाद्य पदार्थों से होने वाली बीमारियों के प्रति छात्रों को सचेत किया और शुद्ध, पौष्टिक व सुरक्षित भोजन अपनाने की सलाह दी।
रिद्धि डेयरी एंड क्रीमरी पहुंची खाद्य सुरक्षा टीम
जागरूकता कार्यक्रम के साथ खाद्य सुरक्षा विभाग ने पालकोट रोड स्थित रिद्धि डेयरी एंड क्रीमरी का भी निरीक्षण किया। यहां दूध और उससे तैयार होने वाले उत्पादों की गुणवत्ता और रख-रखाव की स्थिति देखी गई। इनमें ताजा दूध, पनीर, खोवा, रबड़ी, मिल्क केक और मक्खन शामिल हैं।
निरीक्षण के दौरान प्रतिष्ठान संचालक को स्वच्छता मानकों का सख्ती से पालन करने और उपभोक्ताओं को सुरक्षित व गुणवत्तापूर्ण दुग्ध उत्पाद उपलब्ध कराने के निर्देश दिए गए।
