अपने पतियों के दीर्घायु के लिए महिलाओं ने रखा वट सावित्री व्रत

गुमला : गुमला जिला मुख्यालय सहित पूरे जिले और विभिन्न प्रखंडों के गांवों में गुरुवार को सुहागिन महिलाओं ने अपने पतियों के दीर्घायु के लिए वट सावित्री व्रत रखा। बिशुनपुर प्रखंड मुख्यालय सहित विभिन्न क्षेत्रों के गांवों में महिलाओं ने बड़े उत्साह और उमंग के साथ वट वृक्षों पर मोली धागे का बंधन बांधा और शिव-पार्वती की पूजा-अर्चना की।

महिलाएं सोलह श्रृंगार कर बरगद के पेड़ के नीचे एकत्रित हुईं और अपने पति परमेश्वर की दीर्घायु की कामना करते हुए सनातन हिंदू धर्म की रीति-रिवाजों से वट सावित्री व्रत की कथा सुनी। देव मंत्रों के उच्चारण के साथ पूजा-अर्चना की गई और सत्यवान-सावित्री की कथा का श्रवण भी किया गया।

इससे पहले विवाहित महिलाओं ने बरगद के पेड़ की पूजा की और उसमें कच्चा सूत लपेटा। इस दौरान फल और नैवेद्य भी अर्पित किए गए। पंडितों ने बताया कि ज्येष्ठ मास की अमावस्या को सुहागिन महिलाएं यह व्रत करती हैं। धार्मिक मान्यता के अनुसार, बरगद के पेड़ में त्रिदेव (ब्रह्मा, विष्णु, महेश) का वास होता है। इस पेड़ की पूजा से जीवन में सुख-समृद्धि प्राप्त होती है और इसे अक्षय वृक्ष भी कहा जाता है।

विवाहित महिलाएं बरगद पेड़ की पूजा कर अपने पति की लंबी आयु की कामना करती हैं और इस दिन सोलह श्रृंगार करती हैं। इस मौके पर कई व्रती महिलाएं उपस्थित थीं।
