गुमला जिला में सिकल सेल एनीमिया उन्मूलन की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण प्रगति

गुमला : – गुमला उपायुक्त कर्ण सत्यार्थी के नेतृत्व में गुमला जिला प्रशासन सिकल सेल एनीमिया के उन्मूलन के लिए निरंतर प्रयासरत है। इस अभियान की शुरुआत 1 नवंबर 2023 को डुमरी प्रखंड के भगटीटोली हेल्थ एंड वेलनेस सेंटर से हुई थी। इस पहल के तहत, बासिया और बिशुनपुर प्रखंडों में 17 फरवरी 2025 तक 100% स्क्रीनिंग पूरी कर ली गई है। बिशुनपुर प्रखंड, जिसकी लक्षित आबादी 57,137 है और जहाँ विशेष रूप से कमजोर जनजातीय समूह (PVTGs) की संख्या अधिक है, को PM-JANMAN योजना के तहत पूर्ण रूप से कवर किया गया। इसी प्रकार, बासिया प्रखंड, जिसकी लक्षित आबादी 69,579 है, में भी यह लक्ष्य प्राप्त किया गया।

अब तक, जिले में कुल 4.95 लाख लोगों की सिकल सेल एनीमिया की जांच की गई है, जिसमें 364 पुष्ट मामले, 1,749 वाहक (trait carriers), और 1,475 संदिग्ध मामले पाए गए हैं। इन आंकड़ों के मद्देनजर, जिला प्रशासन ने प्रभावित मरीजों के लिए दिव्यांगता प्रमाण पत्र जारी करने की प्रक्रिया शुरू की है, जिससे वे सरकारी योजनाओं का लाभ उठा सकें। इसके अतिरिक्त, हाइड्रॉक्सीयूरिया उपचार की सुविधा भी प्रदान की जा रही है, जिससे वर्तमान में 158 मरीज लाभान्वित हो रहे हैं।

सदर गुमला में हीमोग्लोबिनोपैथी से पीड़ित मरीजों के लिए विशेष डे केयर सेंटर की स्थापना की गई है, जहाँ थैलेसीमिया और सिकल सेल एनीमिया से पीड़ित बच्चों को बेहतर उपचार मिल रहा है। यह केंद्र जिला प्रशासन और एनजीओ ‘द विशिंग फैक्ट्री’ के संयुक्त प्रयास से स्थापित किया गया है, जिससे मरीजों को समय पर रक्त आधान और अन्य आवश्यक चिकित्सा सुविधाएँ उपलब्ध हो सकें।

उपायुक्त कर्ण सत्यार्थी के नेतृत्व में, गुमला जिला प्रशासन का लक्ष्य 30 अप्रैल 2025 तक पूरे जिले में 100% स्क्रीनिंग सुनिश्चित करना है। इसके लिए, प्रखंड और पंचायत स्तर पर स्वास्थ्य शिविरों का आयोजन किया जा रहा है।
