गुमला – गुमला जिला अंतर्गत पालकोट थाना क्षेत्र के कुरुमढोलशेरा ग्राम निवासी 39 वर्षीय माहीनाथ सिंह की गहरी नींद में छत से गिरने से दर्दनाक मौत हो गई। घटना के समय माहीनाथ सिंह अपने घर की छत पर सोए हुए थे और गहरी नींद के कारण छत से नीचे गिर गए, जिससे घटनास्थल पर ही उनकी मौत हो गई।
रात में पड़ोसियों द्वारा इस घटना की जानकारी दी गई, जिसके बाद परिजनों ने उन्हें इलाज के लिए पालकोट उप स्वास्थ्य केंद्र ले जाया, जहां स्वास्थ्यकर्मियों ने उन्हें मृत घोषित कर दिया। घटना की सूचना मिलते ही पालकोट थाना पुलिस के एस.आई. रामचंद्र यादव अपने दल-बल के साथ मौके पर पहुंचे और गहराई से पूछताछ और छानबीन शुरू कर दी।
पुलिस ने शव को कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए गुमला सदर अस्पताल स्थित पोस्टमार्टम हाउस भेज दिया। पोस्टमार्टम के बाद शव को परिजनों को सौंप दिया गया। पुलिस मामले की जांच कर रही है।
