Television actor Hina Khan disclosed that she attended an award presentation right before her first chemotherapy session, which she had gone directly to the hospital for after the Oscars. On June 28, she declared to the public that she had been diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer.
The 36-year-old actor announced on Instagram that she has started her treatment. “I want to reassure everyone that I am doing well despite this difficult diagnosis. She stated in the article, “I am strong, dedicated, and committed to overcoming this condition.
The most common category of cancer in India
Breast cancer is a disorder where malignant cells grow in the breast tissues. Both men and women are susceptible to it.
It typically begins in the lobule or milk duct lining. Treatment delays may cause the condition to spread to other bodily parts.
Some of its typical symptoms include nipple discharge, changes in breast size or form, breast lumps or underarms, and persistent breast soreness.
The Cancer Journal reports that India’s women continue to have the highest rate of breast cancer.
According to a Down to Earth study that cited the World Health Organization’s (WHO) most recent statistics from February, it represents 13.6% of all patients and more than 26% of women, with an alarming estimate of 192,020 new cases.
The incidence of breast cancer in younger women has significantly increased over time.
This trend change is novel.
Most of these cases involve women under 40.
According to a study that was published in the Journal of Global Oncology, this increase is the result of lifestyle decisions including delaying having children, consuming a higher-fat diet, and becoming more sedentary.
The study highlights the fact that younger women are often the ones who are diagnosed with more aggressive kinds of breast cancer, which grow more quickly and require more intensive therapy.
