The Pune Rural Police have filed an FIR against Manorama Khedkar, Dilip Khedkar, and five others, based on a farmer’s complaint alleging that Manorama threatened him. The FIR, registered on Friday night at Paud police station, includes charges under sections 323, 504, 506 of the IPC and the Arms Act. The complaint follows a viral video showing Manorama Khedkar threatening a group of men with a gun. Authorities are investigating the incident and whether she has a firearm license.
The video relates to a land dispute involving Puja Khedkar’s father, Dilip Khedkar, a retired Maharashtra government officer, who purchased a land parcel in Dhadwali village, Pune’s Mulshi tehsil. Locals allege the Khedkars encroached on neighboring farmland. In the two-minute clip, Manorama Khedkar, with her security guards, is seen arguing heatedly with neighbors, waving a pistol at a man before hiding it.
A senior Pune Rural police official stated they are examining the video and will investigate Manorama Khedkar’s firearm license. Farmer Kuldeep Pasalkar claimed Manorama Khedkar attempted to forcibly seize his land and threatened other farmers while brandishing a firearm.

Puja Khedkar, an IAS officer from Maharashtra’s 2023 batch, is facing allegations of using her UPSC application to pretend to be an OBC non-creamy layer candidate. She also insisted that she was intellectually and visually impaired, but she wouldn’t accept tests to support her assertions.
