Even with the entrance of new films like Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 and Akshay Kumar’s Sarfira, as well as the popularity of Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD, Lakshya’s Kill is still doing well at the Indian box office in its second week. The movie had a sharp increase yesterday (day 9) and ended up making more than it did on opening day, after falling short of the 1 crore threshold on the second Friday.
The action thriller, which Nikhil Nagesh Bhat directed, debuted on July 5 to overwhelmingly good reviews. It was praised for having interesting violent content and a high action factor. Even Lakshya and Raghav Juyal’s performances received accolades. The movie is appealing to a certain demographic from the first day of its release and has been bringing in a consistent amount of money ever since.
According to the most recent collecting update, Kill made a whopping 1.43 crores on day nine. This is a significant increase of 78.75% over the 0.80 crore on day 8. Actually, the amount collected exceeds the 1.35 crores from the opening day. In light of yesterday’s figure, the movie has made 13.59 crores altogether at the Indian box office.
Kill is predicted to have another good day and easily surpass the 15 crore milestone today. It will be fascinating to see how the Lakshya starrer fares during the weekdays since word-of-mouth is really favourable. Kalki 2898 AD is currently in its third week and Sarfira, Indian 2 is seeing a lacklustre reaction.
Tanya Maniktala, Abhishek Chauhan, and Ashish Vidyarthi are also featured in important roles in Kill, which is supported by Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment.
