Teacher eligibility test to be held in Jharkhand after 8 years, applications from 23rd July

Only D.El.Ed-B.Ed trained will be able to apply

Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is going to be held in Jharkhand after eight years. Candidates will be able to apply from 23rd July to 22nd August. Jharkhand academic Council released it’s advertisement on Friday. There will be separate (TET) for classes 1st to 5th and 6th to 8th. Candidates belonging to tribe, schedule caste, backward class, extremely backward and disabled category will be given relaxation of 5% in the prescribed educational and training marks. At the same time, vulnarable trible groups will be given 7% of relaxation in marks obtained.

Once the application is filled, no further amendments will be made.

Application fee from Rs 700 to Rs 1300:

Candidates will have to pay Rs. 700 to Rs 1300 to apply. Rs 1300 each for general caste, extremely backward, backward and economically weaker section candidates. Rs 700 each for scheduled tribe, scheduled caste and disabled category candidates. Lastly Rs. 500 for primitive tribe candidates.

At the same time if the candidate is applying for primary and upper primary TET then, Rs 1500 each for genral, extremely backward, backward and candidates belonging to economically weaker sections. Candidates belonging to scheduled tribe, caste and disabled category will have to pay Rs 800 whereas primitive Rs 600.

Exam will be taken on OMR Sheet

TET will be on OMR Sheet The exam will last two and half hours. Questions from all subjects will be objective and multiple choice. There will be no negative marking in the exam. Any tampering on the OMR Sheet, filling wrong information and using wrong OMR will lead to cancellation of candidature. There will be no re-evaluation or re-checking of OMR Sheet after the examination and submission.

Minimum 60 marks required for general

General category candidates will have to score minimum 60 marks in the test. Apart from this, it is mandatory for them to have at least 40 marks in each paper. At the same time candidates belonging to scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, primitive tribe and disabled category will have to score at least 30 marks in each paper and 50 marks overall. Candidates belonging to extremely backward and backward classes will have to score minimun 35 marks in each paper and atleast 55 marks overall.
