Monsoon is active in Jharkhand. In such a situation, heavy rains are expected today in central parts of Jharkhand including Ranchi, Bokaro, Gumla, Hazaribagh, Khunti and Ramgarh, and in southern parts East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Simdega, Seraikela-Kharsawan. Regarding this, Meteorological Center Ranchi has issued a yellow alert. Apart from this, there is a possibility of heavy rain in the southern part, eastern part, Deoghar, Dhanbad, Dumka, Giridih, Godda, Jamtara, Pakur, Sahebganj, Ranchi and central part on July 24. On July 25 also, a warning has been issued for many districts of north-eastern part and south-eastern part of Jharkhand. Light to moderate rainfall occurred at many places in the last 24 hours.
Rain decreased by 51 percent
The Meteorological Department says that the rain will continue in the next two-three days. This is likely to provide relief to the people of Kolhan. People have been waiting for this rain for a long time. Meteorological Department data shows that Jharkhand should normally receive 414.9 mm rainfall between June 1 and July 22, but only 203.5 mm rainfall has occurred during this period. This is 51 percent less than normal rainfall.
Weather conditions for three days
During the last 24 hours, East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand received maximum rainfall of 38.8 mm. After this, there has been 13 mm rain in Khunti and 3 mm rain in Dhanbad. Due to slowing down of rains, planting has reduced in other areas including East Singhbhum. On Tuesday, yellow alert has been issued regarding rain in Gumla, Khunti, Simdega, West and East Singhbhum and Seraikela. Heavy rain is expected in Kolhan on 24th and 25th July also. Jamshedpur’s maximum temperature is 33.8 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature is 26.2 degrees celsius was recorded.
