Record Placements at NIT Jamshedpur: Student Secures 1.23 Crore Package

Placement Highlights

Record placements have been achieved at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Adityapur this year. Although the number of placements is slightly less compared to last year, significant packages have been offered. Shrishti Chiraniya, a Computer Science and Engineering student, has secured a package of Rs 1.23 crore from the American company Rubrik.

Top Offers

Six students from the institute have been placed with the Australian company Atalian, each securing an annual package of Rs 82 lakhs. The students are Tanya Singh, Apoorv Sinha, Adarsh Kashyap, Arpit Kumar, Shubham Kumar, and Rahul Pandey.

Placement Statistics

This year, 673 students registered for placements at NIT. Out of these, 631 students have received job offers, resulting in a placement rate of 93.76%. In a press conference held at the administrative building on Monday, Director Gautam Sutradhar announced that the institute is striving towards 100% placement.

Salary Packages

Out of the 673 registered B.Tech students, 311 received offers exceeding Rs 10 lakh per annum. Additionally, 70 students received offers above Rs 20 lakh, 37 students above Rs 30 lakh, and 11 students above Rs 50 lakh. The average salary for this year is appreciable at Rs 12.63 lakh per annum.

Companies Visited

Several prestigious companies visited the campus for recruitment. These include Amazon, Oracle, Atlassian, Samsung, Intuit, Tata Steel, and its subsidiaries, Flipkart, Ninjakart, Schlumberger, Qualcomm, L&T, Deloitte, KPMG, Goldman Sachs, ExxonMobil, BPCL, MECON, HSBC, HDFC, ICICI Bank, Aditya Birla Group, Reliance Industries Limited, Adani Powers, and Vedanta.

This year, NIT Jamshedpur has achieved a commendable placement percentage of 93.76% for its B.Tech students.
