Koderma – Journalist Mahadev Kumar Das of Domchanch area of the district was humiliated and assaulted by local land mafia. He was reporting against them for a land issue which belongs to government . After this incident he informed by giving an application to the concerned Navalshahi police station, but no action has been taken so far.
After this incident on friday, Mahadev’s condition became serious and he was admitted to Sadar Hospital for treatment. It is said that he is correspondent of Dainik Nav Pradesh a social media news portal and was covering news against local land mafia who were capturing government land during his reporting some people from the village beat him badly .
Further he said he was humiliated and assaulted . He filed an application in Navalshahi police station regarding the matter but no action was taken so far .
The Journalist Association has taken this matter seriously and and said if the culprits are not arrested then they will meet the Superintendent of Police on Monday and then It is decided to meet the Director General of Police.
Meanwhile, District President of Dalit Shoshan Mukti Manch Dinesh Ravidas issued a press statement and said This shows the attitude and behavior of the powerful people, the media persons from Koderma district said we are the fourth pillar of democracy and are completely unsafe. After the incident, the accused again attacked Mahadev Kumar Das and his father on the same night with the intention of killing them, but both of them survived as both were not at home at night. Regarding this matter, the victim press person has filed an application against Ajit Yadav, Balram Yadav, Birendra Sao, Raunak Yadav, Rajesh Yadav, Sunil Yadav, Sandeep Yadav and other 5-6 persons, all residents of Nawada. Dalit Shoshan Mukti Manch has demanded the arrest of the culprits.
