फाइलेरिया मुक्त अभियान की हुई शुरुआत

गुमला :- गुमला उपयुक्त कर्ण सत्यार्थी एवं सिविल सर्जन गुमला ने सर्वजन दवा सेवन कार्यक्रम के तहत फाइलेरिया उन्मूलन अभियान की सफल शुरुआत कस्तूरबा गांधी बालिका विद्यालय में एल्बेंडाजोल और डीईसी की गोली खाकर की। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने सभी नागरिकों से अपील की कि फाइलेरिया जैसी गंभीर बीमारी को समाप्त करने के लिए इस दवा का सेवन आवश्यक है। जब तक सभी लोग इस दवा का सेवन नहीं करेंगे, तब तक समाज से फाइलेरिया को पूरी तरह समाप्त नहीं किया जा सकता।

ज्ञात हो कि दिनांक 10 फरवरी को जिले के सभी 1673 बूथ पर दवा खिलाई जाएगी जिसे आंगनबाड़ी केंद्र बूथ के रूप में चिन्हित किए गए हैं ।और 11 फरवरी से 25 फरवरी तक घर-घर भ्रमण कर सहिया और आंगनबाड़ी सेविका के द्वारा फाइलेरिया उन्मूलन में दी जाने वाली डीईसी एवं एल्बेंडाजोल टेबलेट खिलाई जाएगी। कुल लक्षित लाभार्थी 1014672 लोगों को दवा खिलाना है।

इस अभियान को प्रभावी बनाने के लिए पिरामल फाउंडेशन जिला प्रशासन के साथ मिलकर सक्रिय भूमिका निभा रहा है। फाइलेरिया, जिसे आमतौर पर हाथी पांव के नाम से जाना जाता है, मच्छर के काटने से फैलने वाली एक गंभीर बीमारी है। यह दुनिया में दिव्यांगता पैदा करने वाली दूसरी सबसे बड़ी बीमारी है, जो न केवल हाथ-पैरों को बल्कि शरीर के अन्य अंगों को भी प्रभावित करती है। संक्रमण अक्सर बचपन में हो जाता है, लेकिन इसके लक्षण उभरने में 5 से 15 साल तक का समय लग सकता है। हाइड्रोसील का इलाज संभव है, लेकिन शरीर के अन्य प्रभावित हिस्सों में आई सूजन आमतौर पर लाइलाज होती है।

विशेषज्ञों के अनुसार, झारखंड में चार करोड़ लोगों को इस बीमारी का खतरा है। हालांकि, 2 साल से छोटे बच्चों, गर्भवती महिलाओं और गंभीर रूप से बीमार व्यक्तियों को यह दवा नहीं दी जानी चाहिए। साथ ही, दवा को खाली पेट नहीं लेना चाहिए और सभी खुराक एक साथ ली जानी चाहिए।

कुछ लोगों में दवा लेने के बाद मामूली प्रतिकूल प्रभाव हो सकते हैं, लेकिन इससे घबराने की जरूरत नहीं है। यह संकेत है कि फाइलेरिया के परजीवी आपके शरीर में मर रहे हैं। वर्ष में मात्र एक खुराक, जो पूरी तरह सुरक्षित और निःशुल्क है, इस बीमारी से बचाव में सहायक है।
