बारिश के मौसम में अपने बिलों से बाहर आने वाले सांपों के कारण गुमला जिला के अलग-अलग गांवों में शनिवार शाम सांपदंश की दो घटनाएं सामने आई। गुमला सदर थाना क्षेत्र के शकरपुर और पाकर टोली गांव में एक युवक और एक युवती पर सांप ने हमला किया। दोनों को गंभीर हालत में तुरंत गुमला सदर अस्पताल लाया गया, जहां उनका इलाज चल रहा है।
शनिवार शाम लगभग पांच बजे शकरपुर निवासी लिविंग किंदो अपने घर से बाहर निकल रहे थे कि एक जहरिले सांप ने उनके पैर को डंस लिया। नजदीकी अस्पताल पहुंचने तक दर्द और झुनझुनी बढ़ गई और परिवारजन तुरंत उन्हें ऑटो लेकर सदर मुख्यालय लाए। डॉक्टरों ने बताया कि यदि लिविंग की हालत में सुधार नहीं हुआ, तो उन्हें रांची के आरIMS रेफर किया जा सकता है।
दूसरी घटना भी उसी शाम पाकर टोली की 20 वर्षीय मीना कुमारी के साथ घटी। वह खेत में धान रोपाई के दौरान एक विषैले साँप के काटने से घायल हो गई। उन्हें भी गुमला सदर अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया है और चिकित्सक नियमित रूप से दोनों की स्थिति पर नजर बनाए हुए हैं।
डॉक्टरों ने आगाह किया है कि बारिश में पानी भरने के कारण सांप अपने बिलों से बाहर निकलते हैं, जिससे ग्रामीणों के लिए सांपदंश का खतरा बढ़ जाता है। उन्होंने इमरजेंसी लक्षणों जैसे अत्यधिक दर्द या सूजन दिखने पर तुरंत अस्पताल पहुंचकर उपचार कराने की अपील की है, ताकि समय पर उचित इलाज सुनिश्चित हो सके।

- बारिश में खुले स्थानों पर निकलते समय सावधानी बरतें
- खेतों या घर के आसपास नियमित जांच व साफ-सफाई रखें
- सांपदंश की स्थिति में घर पर देरी न करें, तत्काल अस्पताल पहुँचे
गुमला प्रशासन ने ग्रामीणों से कहा है कि देर ना करते हुए तत्काल इलाज सुनिश्चित करें और सांपदंश के इलाज में देरी से बचें।
