गुमला, झारखंड – जिला मुख्यालय के बीचों-बीच स्थित सबसे भीड़भाड़ वाले टांड सब्जी बाजार में मध्य प्रदेश और छत्तीसगढ़ की कथित महिला चोर गैंग लगातार सक्रिय हो गई है। खासकर मंगलवार और शनिवार के हाट दिनों में चोरी की घटनाएं तेजी से बढ़ रही हैं। ये गिरोह भीड़भाड़ का फायदा उठाकर महिलाओं के गहने और अन्य कीमती सामान गायब कर देते हैं, जिससे बाजार में दहशत का माहौल है।
महिला चोर गिरोह की करतूत
स्थानीय लोगों के अनुसार, यह गैंग कई महिलाओं और बच्चों के साथ मिलकर काम करता है। भीड़ में एक सदस्य गहना या सामान चोरी करता है और तुरंत ही दूसरा या तीसरा साथी उसे लेकर भीड़ में गायब हो जाता है। ऐसे में घटना के बाद अगर आरोपियों को पकड़ भी लिया जाए, तो उनके पास से चोरी का सामान बरामद नहीं होता। इस वजह से कई बार पुलिस को आरोपी महिलाओं को छोड़ना पड़ता है।
पीड़िता का बयान और दर्ज मामला
गुमला सदर थाना क्षेत्र के चंपा नगर की दोमनिका बारला इस गिरोह का हालिया शिकार बनीं। उन्होंने बताया कि वे सब्जी बाजार में खरीदारी करने गई थीं। घर लौटकर कपड़े बदलने के दौरान उन्हें पता चला कि उनके गले से सोने का चैन गायब है। इसकी कीमत लगभग 1 लाख 35 हजार रुपये बताई गई है।
दोमनिका के अनुसार, खरीदारी के दौरान करीब 10–15 महिलाओं का एक समूह उनके आगे-पीछे घूम रहा था। उन्हें शक है कि इसी भीड़ का फायदा उठाकर चोरनियों ने गले से चैन निकाल ली। घटना के करीब तीन सप्ताह बाद, 19 सितंबर को उन्होंने गुमला थाना में अज्ञात महिला चोरों के खिलाफ प्राथमिकी दर्ज कराई और कड़ी कार्रवाई की मांग की।
पुलिस की कार्रवाई और सख्ती की तैयारी
मामला दर्ज होते ही गुमला पुलिस ने बाजार के सीसीटीवी फुटेज खंगालने की प्रक्रिया शुरू कर दी है। अधिकारियों का कहना है कि बाजार में पेट्रोलिंग और निगरानी बढ़ाई जाएगी ताकि इस तरह की घटनाओं पर अंकुश लगाया जा सके।
भय में बाजार आती महिलाएं
लगातार हो रही घटनाओं से महिलाएं अब गहनों के साथ बाजार जाने से कतराने लगी हैं। स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि पुलिस को महिला चोर गिरोह के खिलाफ त्वरित और सख्त कार्रवाई करनी चाहिए ताकि टांड बाजार और आसपास के क्षेत्र में खरीदारी करने वाले लोग सुरक्षित महसूस कर सकें।
