गुमला : उपायुक्त प्रेरणा दीक्षित के निर्देशानुसार 11 अक्टूबर 2025 को गुमला सदर क्षेत्र में तंबाकू विरोधी विशेष अभियान चलाया गया। यह कार्रवाई कोटपा एक्ट (COTPA – Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act, 2003) के तहत खाद्य सुरक्षा पदाधिकारी प्रकाश चंद्र गुगी और जिला तंबाकू नियंत्रण सलाहकार वंदना स्मिता होरो के संयुक्त नेतृत्व में की गई।
तंबाकू उत्पादों की बिक्री पर कार्रवाई
अभियान के दौरान सदर हॉस्पिटल गुमला और आस-पास के प्रमुख व्यावसायिक प्रतिष्ठानों, होटलों और फास्ट फूड दुकानों में निरीक्षण किया गया।
निरीक्षण में महेंद्र कुमार, राजकुमार साहू, अनमोल कुमार, प्रकाश साहू, विनय गोप, दिलीप कुमार, जगदीश साहब, जितेंद्र कुमार, परवाह साहू और देवंती देवी के प्रतिष्ठानों पर तंबाकू और निकोटीन उत्पादों की बिक्री पाई गई।
ये सभी प्रतिष्ठान स्कूल, अस्पताल और सरकारी भवनों से 100 गज की परिधि में संचालित थे, जो कोटपा एक्ट के नियमों का उल्लंघन है।
मौके पर तंबाकू उत्पादों की बिक्री तत्काल बंद करने के निर्देश दिए गए और अर्थदंड (जुर्माना) लगाया गया।
खाद्य प्रतिष्ठानों की स्वच्छता और लाइसेंस जांच
अभियान टीम ने जितेंद्र होटल, अपना होटल, इंडियन फास्ट फूड और पुष्पांजलि होटल का भी निरीक्षण किया।
जांच में पाया गया कि कुछ प्रतिष्ठानों में स्वच्छता की स्थिति असंतोषजनक थी और कई संचालकों के पास खाद्य सुरक्षा लाइसेंस या मेडिकल फिटनेस प्रमाणपत्र अद्यतन नहीं थे।
खाद्य सुरक्षा पदाधिकारी ने सभी संचालकों को लाइसेंस नवीनीकरण कराने, कर्मचारियों का स्वास्थ्य परीक्षण करवाने और स्वच्छता मानकों का पालन सुनिश्चित करने का निर्देश दिया।
प्रशासन की सख्त चेतावनी
प्रशासन ने स्पष्ट किया कि तंबाकू और निकोटीन उत्पादों की बिक्री से संबंधित अभियान नियमित रूप से जारी रहेगा। जो भी प्रतिष्ठान दोबारा उल्लंघन करते पाए जाएंगे उनके विरुद्ध लाइसेंस निलंबन या रद्दीकरण की कार्रवाई होगी।
सामाजिक जागरूकता का संदेश
खाद्य सुरक्षा पदाधिकारी प्रकाश चंद्र गुगी ने कहा, “यह अभियान केवल जुर्माने तक सीमित नहीं है, बल्कि समाज को तंबाकू और निकोटीन के दुष्प्रभावों से मुक्त करने की दिशा में एक निर्णायक कदम है। हमारा लक्ष्य है कि गुमला जिला ‘तंबाकू मुक्त एवं स्वच्छ जिला’ के रूप में पहचान बनाए।”
