रांची के प्रणय रॉय बने नासा स्पेस ऐप्स चैलेंज कैलिफ़ोर्निया के जज

रांची, नवंबर 2025: रांची के मूल निवासी, सॉफ्टवेयर इंजीनियर प्रणय रॉय ने अक्टूबर में कैलिफ़ोर्निया की सिलिकॉन वैली स्थित नासा एम्स रिसर्च सेंटर में आयोजित नासा इंटरनेशनल स्पेस ऐप्स चैलेंज माउंटेन व्यू में जज के रूप में जिम्मेदारी निभाई। रॉय ने अपनी स्कूली शिक्षा दिल्ली पब्लिक स्कूल, रांची से पूरी की और उनके माता-पिता नॉर्थ ऑफिस पाड़ा, डोरंडा में रहते हैं।

नासा स्पेस ऐप्स चैलेंज विश्व का सबसे बड़ा वार्षिक हैकाथॉन है, जो नासा और अन्य साझेदार अंतरिक्ष एजेंसियों के ओपन डेटा का उपयोग कर महत्वपूर्ण चुनौतियों को सुलझाने के लिए दुनिया भर से हजारों प्रतिभागियों को एक साथ लाता है।

कार्नेगी मेलॉन यूनिवर्सिटी (सीएमयू), पिट्सबर्ग से मास्टर्स डिग्री के बाद, वे वर्तमान में सैन फ्रांसिस्को स्थित ऑटोडेस्क में कार्यरत हैं। वैश्विक प्रौद्योगिकी कंपनियों में उनका करियर, जिसमें बेंगलुरु स्थित मैक्एफी में पूर्व भूमिका भी शामिल है, मुख्यतः एंटरप्राइज़ सिस्टम्स के लिए सिक्योरिटी प्रोडक्ट्स और सॉल्यूशंस डेवलप करने पर केंद्रित रहा है।

कार्नेगी मेलॉन यूनिवर्सिटी में अध्ययन के दौरान रॉय ने डिस्ट्रीब्यूटेड कंसेंसस प्रोटोकॉल में विश्वसनीयता में सुधार लाने पर शोध में भी योगदान दिया, जो डिजिटल मुद्राओं के लिए एक आधारभूत तकनीक है, जैसे भारत की ई-रुपी (e₹) या डिजिटल रुपया। उनके द्वारा सह-लिखित रिसर्च पेपर को यूएस फेडरल रिज़र्व के पेपर और एमआईटी डिजिटल करेंसी इनिशिएटिव (डीसीआई) के डिजिटल मुद्राओं को सुरक्षित करने पर वर्किंग ड्राफ्ट पेपर में साइट किया गया है।
