बोकारो पुलिस अधीक्षक हरविंदर सिंह के निर्देश पर जिले में संघन वाहन जांच अभियान तेज कर दिया गया है। इसी क्रम में बोकारो जिले के बेरमो अनुमंडल अंतर्गत बोकारो थर्मल थाना क्षेत्र के गोमिया–कथारा मुख्य मार्ग स्थित छिलका पुल के समीप शनिवार, 14 फरवरी 2026 को सघन जांच अभियान चलाया गया।
यह अभियान ट्रैफिक एएसआई अर्जुन महतो के नेतृत्व में संचालित हुआ, जिसमें ट्रैफिक पुलिस के शैलेश कुमार, अमित कुमार, विकास कुमार, मृत्युंजय कुमार सहित अन्य जवानों ने भाग लिया। अभियान के दौरान दोपहिया, तिपहिया और चारपहिया वाहनों की गहन जांच की गई।
जांच के दौरान हेलमेट, ड्राइविंग लाइसेंस, वाहन बीमा (इंश्योरेंस), प्रदूषण प्रमाणपत्र (PUC) और सीट बेल्ट की सख्ती से पड़ताल की गई। विशेष रूप से चारपहिया वाहनों में चालक के साथ-साथ आगे की सीट पर बैठे यात्रियों के सीट बेल्ट की भी जांच की गई।
कार्रवाई का नतीजा साफ रहा—कुल 41 वाहनों पर नियम उल्लंघन के आरोप में कार्रवाई करते हुए ₹91,650 का जुर्माना वसूला गया। कई मामलों में नियमों का पालन न करने पर ऑनलाइन चालान भी काटे गए।
ट्रैफिक एएसआई अर्जुन महतो ने स्पष्ट कहा कि इस अभियान का उद्देश्य सिर्फ जुर्माना वसूलना नहीं, बल्कि लोगों में सड़क सुरक्षा के प्रति जिम्मेदारी का एहसास कराना है। उन्होंने दोपहिया चालकों से अनिवार्य रूप से हेलमेट पहनने और चारपहिया चालकों से सीट बेल्ट लगाने की अपील की, ताकि सड़क दुर्घटनाओं में कमी लाई जा सके।
अधिकारियों ने यह भी साफ किया कि ऐसे जांच अभियान आगे भी लगातार जारी रहेंगे। जांच के दौरान कई दोपहिया वाहन चालक पुलिस को देख कर भागने की कोशिश करते नजर आए, हालांकि जिनके पास आवश्यक कागजात नहीं थे, उन पर मौके पर ही कार्रवाई कर ऑनलाइन फाइन लगाया गया।
