गुमला : – जिले में फाइलेरिया उन्मूलन के उद्देश्य से संचालित मास ड्रग एडमिनिस्ट्रेशन (MDA) अभियान के तहत आज दिनांक 15 फरवरी 2026 को मुस्लिम बहुल क्षेत्रों में दवा सेवन कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ किया गया। कुछ स्थानों पर दवा सेवन को लेकर भ्रम की स्थिति उत्पन्न होने के दृष्टिगत एमडीएम समन्वयक शर्मिला शर्मा (VBD सलाहकार) द्वारा अंजुमन सदर के साथ बैठक कर व्यापक जन-जागरूकता एवं सहभागिता सुनिश्चित करने का निर्णय लिया गया।
बैठक में यह तय किया गया कि रमजान माह के आरंभ से पूर्व हुसैन नगर एवं गौस नगर में विशेष बूथ स्थापित कर मुस्लिम समुदाय के नागरिकों को फाइलेरिया से मुक्ति हेतु दवा खिलाई जाएगी। इसी क्रम में आज अंजुमन सदर द्वारा स्वयं दवा का सेवन कर कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ किया गया, जिससे समुदाय में सकारात्मक संदेश गया। आज मुस्लिम समुदाय के 160 से अधिक नागरिकों ने दवा का सेवन किया।
कार्यक्रम के दौरान हुसैन नगर की दो सहियाओं की सक्रिय सहभागिता रही। एमडीएम समन्वयक शर्मिला शर्मा द्वारा उपस्थित नागरिकों को फाइलेरिया के कारण, बचाव एवं दवा सेवन की आवश्यकता के संबंध में विस्तार से जागरूक किया गया।
ज्ञात हो कि MDA कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत जिले के सभी चिन्हित बूथों-जिनमें विद्यालय एवं आंगनवाड़ी केंद्र शामिल हैं-पर फाइलेरिया से बचाव हेतु दो प्रकार की दवाएं डाइएथाइलकार्बामाजीन (DEC) एवं एल्बेंडाजोल (Albendazole) खिलाई जा रही हैं। इसके अतिरिक्त डोर-टू-डोर कार्यक्रम के माध्यम से स्वास्थ्यकर्मी प्रत्येक घर जाकर पात्र लाभार्थियों को दवा खिलाएंगे, ताकि कोई भी व्यक्ति इस अभियान से वंचित न रह जाए।
उल्लेखनीय है कि गुमला जिले में 10 फरवरी से 25 फरवरी 2026 तक फाइलेरिया उन्मूलन हेतु MDA अभियान संचालित किया जा रहा है।
जिला प्रशासन समस्त जिला वासियों से अपील करता है कि किसी भी प्रकार की भ्रामक जानकारी पर विश्वास न करें। फाइलेरिया एक लाइलाज बीमारी है, जिससे बचाव का एकमात्र प्रभावी उपाय निर्धारित दवाओं का सेवन है। अतः सभी पात्र नागरिक दवा का सेवन कर स्वयं एवं समाज को फाइलेरिया मुक्त बनाने में सहयोग करें।
