सरयू राय ने दामोदर नदी के आसपास हो रहे अवैध कोयले के उत्खनन पर धनबाद-बोकारो जिला प्रशासन पर उठाए सवाल

सरयू राय के आरोप- दामोदर नदी के आसपास मोहाना बनाकर, पोकलेन से खनन और ट्रक से परिवहन कोयले का हो रहा है अवैध उत्खनन, जिला प्रशासन को है सारी गतिविधियों की जानकारी. इसके बावजूद कोई कार्रवाई नहीं 

रांची : जदयू के विधायक सरयू राय लगातार दामोदर नदी के संरक्षण के लिए हमेशा तत्पर रहे हैं. लंबे समय से झारखंड की लाइफलाइन दामोदर नदी पर कई कारखानों के निर्माण के बाद से ही इसका पानी प्रदूषित हो चुका है. इस मामले में सरयू राय ने बीएसएल और सीसीएल-बीसीसीएल के प्रबंधनों से कई बार बातचीत कर इसका मुकम्मल इंतजाम करने का आग्रह किया है. लेकिन अभी तक इसका कोई ठोस हल नहीं निकल सका है. इस मामले में एक बार फिर सरयू राय ने विधानसभा के बजट सत्र में धनबाद-बोकारो के जिला प्रशासन पर कार्रवाई की मांग करने का मन बनाया है. इससे अधिकारियों में हड़कंप है. 

धनबाद में कोयला माफिया द्वारा किया जा रहा अवैध खनन पराकाष्ठा पर पहुंच गया है. ये लोग अब दामोदर नद के पेट से मुहाना बनाकर कोयले का अवैध खनन करने लगे हैं. विधायक सरयू राय ने कहा है कि आश्चर्य इस बात की है कि इसकी पूरी जानकारी धनबाद ज़िला प्रशासन और जिला पुलिस प्रशासन को भी है. वस्तुतः यह अवैध काम ज़िला प्रशासन और जिला पुलिस के संरक्षण में हो रहा है. इस अवैध गतिविधि के कारण दामोदर नद पर भी ख़तरा पैदा हो गया है. इससे दामोदर का अतिक्रमण और प्रदूषण हो रहा हैं. विधायक ने इस मामले को विधानसभा सत्र में उठाने का निर्णय किया है.

एक पर्यावरण कार्यकर्ता ने सरयू राय को अवैध खनन की गतिविधियों की कुछ तस्वीरें भेजी हैं

श्री राय ने कहा कि धनबाद और बोकारो जिला की सीमा पर स्थित बारनी घाट के सामने अवैध खननकर्ताओं ने दामोदर नद के किनारा से मोहाना बना लिया है. एक से अधिक मोहानी इन्होंने बनाया है. पोकलेन लगाकर ये अवैध खनन कर रहे हैं, उत्खनित कोयला बोरियों में भरकर जमा करते हैं, फिर ट्रक से ढोते हैं.

अवैध कोयला खनन से दामोदर पर भी प्रदूषण और अतिक्रमण का ख़तरा बढ़ा

जागरूक पर्यावरण कार्यकर्ता ने धनबाद के उपायुक्त और वरीय पुलिस अधीक्षक को इसकी जानकारी दी है. कतिपय पत्रकारों ने भी उपायुक्त, धनबाद को इससे अवगत कराया है, परन्तु अब तक कोई कार्रवाई नहीं हुई है.

यह एक गंभीर मामला है. न केवल अवैध कोयला खनन बल्कि दामोदर पर भी प्रदूषण और अतिक्रमण का ख़तरा पैदा हो रहा है. विधायक ने सरकार से दोषी पदाधिकारियों पर तत्काल कार्रवाई की मांग की है.
