बोकारो जिला के कथारा क्षेत्र में नकली विदेशी शराब के अवैध कारोबार का भंडाफोड़ करते हुए पुलिस ने बड़ी कार्रवाई की है। पुलिस अधीक्षक के निर्देश पर कथारा ओपी की टीम को इस नेटवर्क के उद्भेदन में लगाया गया था। बीते कुछ दिनों से क्षेत्र में लगातार निगरानी और गुप्त सूचना संकलन किया जा रहा था।
पुख्ता सूचना के आधार पर पुलिस ने कथारा बस्ती जाने वाले मार्ग पर सघन वाहन जांच अभियान चलाया। 20 फरवरी 2026 की सुबह लगभग 4:30 बजे, कथारा बस्ती मिडिल स्कूल के समीप एक चारपहिया टाटा मैजिक को रोकने का प्रयास किया गया। चालक द्वारा वाहन लेकर भागने की कोशिश की गई, लेकिन सशस्त्र बल की मदद से घेराबंदी कर वाहन को मौके पर ही जब्त कर लिया गया।
तलाशी के दौरान वाहन से विभिन्न ब्रांडों की नकली विदेशी शराब, शराब तैयार व सील करने की मशीनें, स्प्रिट, ढक्कन, स्टीकर, बारकोड सहित बड़ी मात्रा में अवैध सामग्री बरामद की गई। बरामद सामान से स्पष्ट है कि यह संगठित गिरोह लंबे समय से नकली शराब तैयार कर बाजार में खपा रहा था।
इस संबंध में गोमियां (कथारा ओपी) थाना कांड संख्या 26/26, दिनांक 20.02.2026 के तहत बीएनएस-2023 की धारा 340(2), 342(2), 274, 275, 292, 3(5) एवं 47(ए) उत्पाद अधिनियम के अंतर्गत प्राथमिकी दर्ज की गई है।
फिलहाल पुलिस अवैध शराब तस्करों की गिरफ्तारी और पूरे नेटवर्क के खुलासे के लिए लगातार छापेमारी कर रही है। पुलिस का कहना है कि जल्द ही इस रैकेट से जुड़े सभी आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार कर कानून के शिकंजे में लिया जाएगा।
