गोमिया: अवैध लकड़ी तस्करी और बिना लाइसेंस संचालित आरा मिलों के खिलाफ बोकारो वन प्रमंडल ने बड़ी कार्रवाई करते हुए गोमिया प्रखंड के तुलबुल और ढंढे क्षेत्र में छापेमारी की। इस दौरान 5 ट्रैक्टर अवैध लकड़ियां, आरा मिल की मशीनें तथा अन्य उपकरण जब्त किए गए, जबकि 5 लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है।
जानकारी के अनुसार, लुगु बुरु पहाड़ के जंगलों में अवैध रूप से पेड़ों की कटाई कर लकड़ियों को आरा मिलों तक पहुंचाने और उन्हें चीरकर फर्नीचर के रूप में बाजार में बेचने की शिकायत वन विभाग को लगातार मिल रही थी। गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर गठित संयुक्त टीम ने दोनों क्षेत्रों में संचालित आरा मिलों पर छापेमारी की।
कार्रवाई के दौरान वन विभाग के अधिकारियों ने संचालकों से लकड़ियों के ट्रांजिट परमिट तथा आरा मिल संचालन से संबंधित वैध लाइसेंस की मांग की, लेकिन कोई भी आवश्यक दस्तावेज प्रस्तुत नहीं किया जा सका। इसके बाद टीम ने 5 ट्रैक्टर अवैध लकड़ियों को जब्त कर लिया। साथ ही आरा मिलों में उपयोग की जा रही मशीनों और अन्य उपकरणों को भी सील कर कब्जे में ले लिया गया।
वन विभाग ने मौके से 5 आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार कर उनके विरुद्ध भारतीय वन अधिनियम एवं झारखंड आरा मिल अधिनियम की संबंधित धाराओं के तहत मामला दर्ज किया है। अधिकारियों ने कहा कि जंगलों की अवैध कटाई और लकड़ी तस्करी के खिलाफ अभियान आगे भी जारी रहेगा तथा दोषियों पर कड़ी कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
