बरसात में बदहाल हुई बाजार टांड की स्थिति, व्यापारी, किसान और खरीदार परेशान; नगर प्रशासन की कार्यशैली पर उठ रहे सवाल

गुमला : जिला मुख्यालय के बीचों-बीच स्थित गुमला बाजार टांड (हाट) इन दिनों बदहाली का प्रतीक बन चुका है। बरसात शुरू होते ही पूरे बाजार परिसर में कीचड़, जलजमाव और गंदगी का अंबार लग गया है। हालात ऐसे हैं कि व्यापारी और ग्राहक दुर्गंध के बीच नाक पर रुमाल रखकर खरीद-बिक्री करने को मजबूर हैं।

बाजार परिसर में जगह-जगह बने गड्ढों में बारिश का पानी जमा होने से आवागमन बेहद कठिन हो गया है। विशेषकर महिलाओं, बच्चों और बुजुर्गों को सबसे अधिक परेशानी का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। बाजार आने-जाने वाले रास्ते भी पूरी तरह कीचड़ से पटे हुए हैं, जिससे फिसलने और दुर्घटना की आशंका बनी रहती है।

गुमला का यह हाट जिले का सबसे बड़ा और प्रमुख बाजार माना जाता है, जहां सुदूर ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों से किसान अपनी उपज बेचने आते हैं और बड़ी संख्या में व्यापारी एवं ग्राहक खरीदारी के लिए पहुंचते हैं। लेकिन बाजार की बदहाल व्यवस्था के कारण व्यापार भी प्रभावित हो रहा है। कई व्यापारी और ग्राहक गंदगी एवं कीचड़ के कारण बाजार आने से परहेज करने लगे हैं।

स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि बाजार का नियमित टेंडर होता है और ठेकेदार के एजेंटों द्वारा बाजार शुल्क (टैक्स) की वसूली भी की जाती है। इसके बावजूद साफ-सफाई, जल निकासी और बुनियादी सुविधाओं की स्थिति बेहद खराब है। ऐसे में सवाल उठ रहा है कि जब बाजार से नियमित राजस्व प्राप्त हो रहा है, तो उसकी व्यवस्था सुधारने के लिए ठोस कदम क्यों नहीं उठाए जा रहे हैं।

व्यापारियों, किसानों और स्थानीय लोगों ने नगर परिषद एवं जिला प्रशासन से बाजार टांड का शीघ्र जीर्णोद्धार, बेहतर जल निकासी व्यवस्था और नियमित साफ-सफाई सुनिश्चित करने की मांग की है, ताकि जिले के सबसे बड़े हाट की गरिमा बनी रहे और लोगों को बुनियादी सुविधाएं मिल सकें।
