पुलिस अधीक्षक हजारीबाग के नेतृत्व में दंडाधिकारी सहित जिले के पुलिस पदाधिकारी की उपस्थिति में आज लोकनायक, जयप्रकाश नारायण, केंद्रीय कारागार, हजारीबाग में सुरक्षा व्यवस्था को चाक-चौबंद रखने और किसी भी गैर-कानूनी गतिविधि (जैसे- नशीले पदार्थों या प्रतिबंधित वस्तुओं का प्रवेश) को रोकने, संगठित अपराध में अंकुश लगाने के उद्देश्य से औचक छापामारी किया गया l
जेल को अपराध का अड्डा बनने से रोकना और एक सुरक्षित वातावरण कायम रखने एवं वहां मौजूद सुधरने की चाह रखने वाले कैदी सुरक्षित रह सकें, इस संबंध में कारागार में उपस्थित पुलिस पदाधिकारी के साथ आवश्यक विचार विमर्श किया गया.
औचक निरीक्षण के दौरान यह ध्यान रखा गया कि तलाशी की प्रक्रिया पूरी तरह से पारदर्शी और मानवाधिकारों के अनुकूल हो। कैदियों के साथ गरिमापूर्ण व्यवहार, उनके मानसिक स्वास्थ्य की सुरक्षा और उन्हें बुनियादी सुविधाएं प्रदान करने संबंधित बातों पर भी कारागार में उपस्थित पुलिस पदाधिकारी को आवश्यक दिशा निर्देश दिया गया l
