साइबर फ्रॉड – थंब क्लोनिंग क्या है और कैसे इससे बचें

बोकारो थर्मल – बोकारो थर्मल के रहने वाले मैकेनिक मोहमद रफी अली उस समय सदमे मे हो गए जब वो महीनों बाद अपना खाता अपडेट करना SBI बैंक पहुचे और उनको पता चल की उनके खाते से 2 लाख 65 हजार रुपया छोटे छोटे किस्तों मे साइबर चोरों ने देश के अलग अलग हिस्से की POS सेंटर से निकाल दिया है मामले की रिपोर्ट उन्होंने लोकल थान और बोकारो स्टील सिटी के साइबर थाने मे रिपोर्ट किया है FIR No – SDEN – 16/23 – 27/05/23  , मामले को बीते हुए महीने भर से ज्यादा हो गया है पर अभी तक चोरों का कुछ पता नहीं चल है , इसपर बात करते हुए ठगी के शिकार रफी ने कहा साहब हम बहुत गरीब लोग है बड़ी मुस्किल से एक एक पैसा जोड़ के रखे थे अब अब पैसे की जरूरत है तो पैसा साइबर चोरों ने साफ कर दिया है महीने भर से हम थाने का चक्कर काट रहे हैं पर बाबू लोग आज कल कर रहे हैं,

मामले पर साइबर एक्सपर्ट अशोक कुमार से बात हुई जिन्होंने बताया की आजकल ये फ्रॉड काफी मात्रा मे हो रहा है और ये नए किस्म का साइबर फ्रॉड है, साइबर अपराधी अंगूठे की क्लोनिंग उंगलियों के निशान चुरा लेते हैं और उनका उपयोग उनके बैंक खातों से पैसे निकालने के लिए करते हैं। यह पीड़ित के अंगूठे के निशान को स्कैन करने के लिए बायोमेट्रिक मशीन का उपयोग करके और फिर रबर मोल्ड का उपयोग करके डुप्लिकेट फिंगरप्रिंट बनाकर किया जाता है। डुप्लिकेट फिंगरप्रिंट का उपयोग एटीएम या अन्य पॉइंट-ऑफ-सेल (पीओएस) डिवाइस पर पीड़ित की पहचान को प्रमाणित करने के लिए किया जा सकता है।

हाल के वर्षों में, भारत में थंब क्लोनिंग बैंक धोखाधड़ी के कई हाई-प्रोफाइल मामले सामने आए हैं। एक मामले में, धोखेबाजों के एक गिरोह ने रजिस्ट्री कागजात से 2,000 से अधिक लोगों की उंगलियों के निशान चुरा लिए और उनका इस्तेमाल उनके बैंक खातों से 23 लाख रुपये से अधिक निकालने के लिए किया। एक अन्य मामले में, उंगलियों के निशान की क्लोनिंग करने और 23 लोगों के खातों से 5 लाख रुपये निकालने के आरोप में चार लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया था।

भारत में बायोमेट्रिक्स के बढ़ते उपयोग ने धोखेबाजों के लिए अंगूठे की क्लोनिंग करके बैंक धोखाधड़ी करना आसान बना दिया है। बॉयोमीट्रिक्स, जैसे फ़िंगरप्रिंट, को पासवर्ड और अन्य पारंपरिक प्रमाणीकरण विधियों की तुलना में अधिक सुरक्षित माना जाता है। हालाँकि, यदि धोखेबाज के पास पीड़ित के फिंगरप्रिंट तक पहुंच हो तो उन्हें अधिक आसानी से क्लोन किया जा सकता है।

थंब क्लोनिंग बैंक धोखाधड़ी से खुद को बचाने के लिए क्या करें

• किसी भी वेबसाइट या ऐप पर अपनी उंगलियों के निशान दर्ज न करना जिस पर आपको भरोसा नहीं है।
• अपनी उंगलियों के निशान को अनधिकृत पहुंच से सुरक्षित रखना। इसमें अपनी उंगलियों के निशान को ऐसी जगह पर नहीं छोड़ना शामिल है जहां उन्हें आसानी से देखा जा सके, जैसे दस्तावेज़ों पर या सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर।
• अपने बैंक खाते के विवरण के प्रति सतर्क रहें और किसी भी अनधिकृत लेनदेन की तुरंत अपने बैंक को रिपोर्ट करें।
• मजबूत पासवर्ड का उपयोग करना और अपने बैंक खातों के लिए दो-कारक प्रमाणीकरण सक्षम करना।
• यदि आपको लगता है कि आप अंगूठे की क्लोनिंग बैंक धोखाधड़ी का शिकार हो गए हैं, तो आपको तुरंत अपने बैंक और पुलिस से संपर्क करना चाहिए।
• आप अपना आधार को जहा जरूरत न हो वह न दे , फोटो कॉपी सेंटर पर आधार की कॉपी नया छोड़े
• दस्तावेज जमा करने वाले स्थान पर आधार की गजह ड्राइविंग लाइसेन्स या कुछ और दस्तावेज दे
• ऐसे किसी अनजान POS सेंटर मे अपना अंगूठा न लगाए जो आपके अंगूठे का क्लोन बनाने वाले साइबर चोरों को देता हो, अंगूठा लगा के पैसा निकालने से परहेज करें |
• ऐसे लोगों से दूर रहें जो आपको सस्ते मे सामान दे रहे हो आपका अंगूठा और आधार की कॉपी लेकर
