Abhishek Bachchan, Saiyami Kher’s upcoming films and great performances will move you, and he made his father cry with his excellent performance in Ghoomer.

The most recent movie by Ghoomer R. Balki is a sports drama about a cricket player who loses her right arm and discovers how to take back her life.

After witnessing Abhishek Bachchan’s Ghoomer, Amitabh Bachchan broke down in tears. Amitabh Bachchan discussed his son Abhishek’s role in the upcoming sports drama Ghoomer. Early on Tuesday, Amitabh wrote on his blog that he had seen Ghoomer twice and had cried each time. Amitabh also lauded Ghoomer’s director, R Balki. Along with Abhishek Bachchan, Saiyami Kher is a cast member of Ghoomer.

Saiyami Kher arrives to greet her coach Abhishek Bachchan with a happy Diwali and tells him it’s a day to be joyful. It’s the evening of Diwali. He demands that she bowl under a torch while donning a saree in exchange. She pulls it off flawlessly. The scenario demonstrates how one can push their limits and is exquisitely written and filmed. And there are several instances like this in Ghoomer. Ghoomer draws you into a world where heart and reason collide, whether you’re practicing on a small pitch in your garden or competing in an English stadium. A strong sense of self-belief and a never-say-die mentality are emphasized in this well-made movie. It simultaneously motivates and empowers.

Director R Balki doesn’t waste any time getting to the point about what he wants to express or show through the movie, and he jumps right into the journey of cricketer Anina (Saiyami), who has a goal of making the Indian National Women’s Cricket team. In addition, fate has other plans for her if she is chosen. She suffers an accident and loses her right arm a few days before she departs for the tournament. She had given up on ever playing cricket again and has suicidal thoughts until one day when Padam Singh Sodhi, also known as Paddy sir (Abhishek), a former cricketer who was unsuccessful and disillusioned and is now an alcoholic, knocks on her door. She arrives at his home the following day seeking a second shot at winning the game, at life, and in both. Ghoomer walks us through Paddy’s transformation from a batter to a coach and a left-arm bowler.

Additionally, a line in the script bugged me a little bit: “Pichle over ke nrityakala ke baad wapas cricket,” uttered by one of the commentators regarding Anina’s groomer-style bowling. I thought it somehow went against Ghoomer’s entire purpose and ignored the innovative bowling technique that had everyone in awe. Your jaw will drop when you see Ghoomer because to its powerful narrative, captivating writing, outstanding performers, and deft blending of entertainment and message that makes you feel proud and content. The movie delivers in all respects as pure family entertainment to be enjoyed in theatres. However, as the creative liberties become a little too extravagant towards the conclusion (the match scenes), the movie becomes a little too predictable and audience-pleasing. Can a one-armed spin bowler who is unable to bat or field properly earn a position on India’s national cricket team? Are public attention and the selectors’ commitment to fair opportunity enough to change the rules? Despite the numerous liberties taken by the filmmakers, Ghoomer is an inspiring story about the power of hope and second chances. What transpires if everything is snatched from you in a matter of minutes? You take it back. “Woh galat hai,” kisisay “koi cheez bewaja cheeni jaye.” After watching this, you can tell how devoted to cricket Abhishek, Saiyami, and Balki
