हजारीबाग जिले के सदर प्रखंड की जर्जर सड़कों को लेकर क्षेत्रीय जनता की चिंता को स्वर देते हुए अखिल भारतीय कांग्रेस कमेटी के वरिष्ठ नेता मुन्ना सिंह ने इंद्रपुरी स्थित कार्यपालक अभियंता ग्रामीण कार्य विभाग कार्य प्रमंडल हजारीबाग कार्यालय पहुंचकर।
झारखंड सरकार की ग्रामीण विकास मंत्री दीपिका पांडे सिंह के नाम एक विस्तृत ज्ञापन सौंपा। और प्रतिलिपि कार्यपालक अभियंता ग्रामीण कार्य विभाग कार्य प्रमंडल हजारीबाग को किया।
ज्ञापन में रोला मोड़ से सरौनी और मरहेता मोड़ से पौंता बस्ती तक की अत्यंत जर्जर सड़कों के नवनिर्माण की मांग की गई है। मुन्ना ने मंत्री के नाम सौंपे गए ज्ञापन में बताया कि ये दोनों मार्ग बीते 15 से 20 वर्षों से पूरी तरह बदहाल अवस्था में हैं। बरसात के मौसम में हालात और भी भयावह हो जाते हैं, जिससे स्कूली बच्चों, बुजुर्गों, मरीजों और दैनिक यातायात करने वाले ग्रामीणों को भारी कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़ता है। उन्होंने इसे आम जनता के लिए एक आवागमन का अभिशाप करार दिया। ज्ञापन में उन्होंने यह भी उल्लेख किया कि यह क्षेत्र वर्षों से विकास की मुख्यधारा से उपेक्षित रहा है और इन सड़कों की दुर्दशा उस उपेक्षा की प्रतीक बन चुकी है। ग्रामीणों ने कई बार स्थानीय प्रशासन से गुहार लगाई, परंतु अब तक कोई ठोस कार्यवाही नहीं की गई। सिंह ने मंत्री से अनुरोध किया कि जनहित को ध्यान में रखते हुए शीघ्र कार्ययोजना तैयार कर इन दोनों मार्गों का निर्माण कार्य शुरू कराया जाए। उन्होंने कहा कि क्षेत्र के हजारों ग्रामीणों को इससे सीधी राहत मिलेगी और क्षेत्रीय विकास को नई गति मिलेगी।
