For the past four days, police officials have remained silent about the operation. In the surrounding woodland, they thought there were two or three terrorists imprisoned.

The operation got underway on Wednesday when terrorists assassinated Colonel Manpreet Singh, the 19 Rashtriya Rifles’ commanding officer, Major Ashish Dhonchak, and deputy superintendent Humayun Bhat of the Jammu and Kashmir Police. On the first day of the engagement, another soldier named Pradeep went missing. His body was found on Monday.

Drones and helicopters have been used by security forces to investigate the region of dense forest with multiple cavernous hiding places where terrorists are said to have taken up residence since Wednesday.

As a precaution to make sure the terrorists don’t infiltrate civilian neighbourhoods, the security perimeter was expanded to the nearby Posh Kreeri region on Sunday.

Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha declared in his speech at a late-night event on Sunday that the terrorists’ managers would pay a high price and that every drop of the blood of the dead security men will be avenged. “Our warriors have our complete trust. The entire nation is united in support of the soldiers, according to Sinha.

The operation has been seen by senior security grid officials in Kashmir, including the director general of police (DGP) and general officer commanding (GOC) of the Army’s 15 Corps.
