गुमला जिला मुख्यालय सहित अधिकांश क्षेत्र नशेड़ियों के गिरफ्त में, अपराधिक घटनाओं को दे रहे हैं अंजाम, पुलिस प्रशासन चल रही है कई अभियान
गुमला – गुमला सदर थाना पुलिस को एक गुप्त सूचना मिली की टोटो ग्राम के एक पुवाल गांज में एक गांजा का पैकेट छुपा कर रखा गया है। जिसकी सत्यापन और कार्रवाई के लिए टोटो थाना पुलिस के सहयोग से टोटो ग्राम के उक्त स्थान पर पहुंचकर गुमला पुलिस ने फेकू साइकिल मिस्त्री के एक पुवाल गांज से लगभग 10 किलो वजन के गांजे का पैकेट ग्रामीणों की उपस्थिति में बरामद किया। उस पुलाव गांज में गांजा का पैकेट कौन रखा है। उसकी जांच पड़ताल में जुटी , गुमला थाना पुलिस। इससे पूर्व भी टोटो ग्राम से 40 पेटी कफ सिरप कोरेक्स ( दवा )और नशीली दवा टैबलेट बरामद की थी। अभियुक्त अभी भी फरार है।
गुमला जिला में आए दिन प्रतिबंधित अवैध नशीले पदार्थ , स्मैक , हीरोइन , अफ़ीम , गांजा-भांग , आदि के अवैध धंधे बाजों, द्वारा प्रतिबंधित अवैध नशीले व्यापारियों , गो तस्करों और नशेड़ी चोरों आदि के द्वारा किए जा रहे हैं। अपराधिक घटनाओं से गुमला पुलिस प्रशासन समय-समय पर रूबरू होता रहा है। चूहे बिल्ली वाली , खुला खेल फर्रुखाबादी का खेल खेलते हुए, गुमला पुलिस ने नकेल कसने में कामयाब भी हुई है।
और तो और समय-समय पर छोटी बड़ी कई कामयाबी भी गुमला पुलिस प्रशासन ने अपने नाम दर्ज करा चुकी है। जिस पर गुमला जिला पुलिस प्रशासन को अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर सम्मानित भी किया जा चुका है , फिर भी समय समय पर हो रहे उक्त अपराधिक घटनाओं के पीछे कहीं ना कहीं , शरारती तत्वों , शराबियों , नशेड़ियों और उक्त प्रतिबंध अवैध नशीले पदार्थ से संबंध कारोबारियों , तस्करों का बहुत बड़ा हांथ हैं। जिन्हें मंत्री से लेकर संत्री तक का संरक्षण भी प्राप्त हैं जो इन्हें बेखौफ कार्य करने के लिए प्रेरित करते रहते हैं। इस में कोई किन्तु प्रन्तु भी नहीं है।
