गुमला जिले के बसिया प्रखंड के ममरला में महिला स्वास्थ्य और स्वच्छता के प्रति जागरूकता बढ़ाने के उद्देश्य से एक कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम में 60 महिलाओं ने ‘स्वायत’ परियोजना के अंतर्गत हिस्सा लिया, जिसमें उन्हें माहवारी कपों के बारे में जानकारी दी गई।
‘स्वायत’ परियोजना और सहयोग
इस कार्यक्रम का आयोजन एनजीओ प्रदान द्वारा किया गया और इसे सिरोना का समर्थन प्राप्त हुआ। ‘स्वायत’ परियोजना, एक समझौता ज्ञापन (एमओयू) है जो ग्राम पंचायत ममरला और सिरोना के बीच हस्ताक्षरित हुआ है। इसका मुख्य उद्देश्य माहवारी के दौरान पैड्स के स्थान पर कपों के उपयोग के बारे में जागरूकता फैलाना और इसे लागू करना है।
महिलाओं के अनुभव और बचत
गांव की महिलाओं ने अपने अनुभव साझा किए और बताया कि पैड्स के उपयोग में उन्हें किस प्रकार की कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़ता है। उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि अगर वे कपों का उपयोग करना शुरू करती हैं, तो वे वार्षिक रूप से कितनी बचत कर सकती हैं।
बीडीओ की सलाह और माहवारी कपों का वितरण
मौके पर बीडीओ सुप्रिया भगत ने महिलाओं को माहवारी के समय स्वच्छता बनाए रखने की सलाह दी। कार्यक्रम में 100 माहवारी कपों का वितरण किया गया, जो सिरोना द्वारा भेजा गया था।
ममरला मुखिया और वार्ड सदस्यों की सलाह
ममरला मुखिया सरिता उरांव और अन्य वार्ड सदस्यों ने भी महिलाओं को समझाया कि यह स्थायी उपाय न केवल पर्यावरण के लिए बेहतर है, बल्कि आर्थिक रूप से भी लाभकारी है। उन्होंने बताया कि इस उपाय से महिलाएं 10 वर्षों में 95% पैसे की बचत कर सकती हैं।
कार्यक्रम की सफलता
यह कार्यक्रम न केवल महिलाओं के स्वास्थ्य के प्रति जागरूकता बढ़ाने में सफल रहा, बल्कि उन्हें आत्मनिर्भर और आर्थिक रूप से सशक्त बनाने की दिशा में भी एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है। बैठक में प्रदान के सदस्य सहित महिलाएं शामिल थीं।
