संत जेवियर स्कूल के अवकाश प्राप्त शिक्षिका श्रीमती कृष्णा मोइत्रा का निधन

संत जेवियर स्कूल की अवकाश प्राप्त शिक्षिका एवं विनोबा भावे विश्वविद्यालय के डॉ सुकल्याण मोइत्रा की माता श्रीमती कृष्णा मोइत्रा का शनिवार को रात्रि 8:30 बजे निधन हो गया। उनके पति स्वर्गीय सुभाष कुमार मोइत्रा संत कोलंबा के राजनीति विज्ञान विभाग के ख्याति प्राप्त प्राध्यापक थे। श्रीमती मोइत्रा कुछ समय से अस्वस्थ थी। उनके छोटे पुत्र शिवाजी मोइत्रा घाटोटांड में अवस्थित होली क्रॉस स्कूल में शिक्षक है।

14 जुलाई को खीरगाँव के मुक्तिधाम में उनका अंतिम संस्कार किया गया जिसमें बड़ी संख्या में नगर वासियों ने भाग लिया। उनके निधन की खबर फैलते ही उनके घर में 14 जुलाई के सुबह से ही लोगों का आना जाना लग रहा। फेसबुक और व्हाट्सएप समूह में शोक संदेशों का अंबार लगा रहा।

श्रीमती कृष्णा मोइत्रा 1971 में हजारीबाग के बहू प्रतिष्ठित माउंट कार्मल स्कूल में शिक्षिका के रूप में योगदान दी थी। 1978 से वह सेंट जेवियर स्कूल में पढ़ाने लगी जहां से वर्ष 2003 में वह अवकाश प्राप्त की। सेंट जेवियर स्कूल के प्राचार्य फादर इथर को विद्यालय को जमा-दो करने में एवं विद्यालय में सहशिक्षा प्रारंभ करने में इन्होंने पूरा सहयोग किया। उनकी इसी भूमिका को देखते हुए उन्हें जमा-दो का प्रथम वाइस प्रिंसिपल नियुक्त किया गया जिस दायित्व पर वह अवकाश प्राप्ति तक सेवा देती रही। वाइस प्रिंसिपल के रूप में उनकी भूमिका को देखते हुए सेंट जेवियर स्कूल ने इन्हें 3 वर्ष का सेवा विस्तार दिया और वह 2006 तक जमा-दो के वाइस प्रिंसिपल के रूप में कार्य करती रही।

वह मूल रूप से बायोलॉजी की शिक्षिका थी एवं बेहतरीन पढ़ाई के लिए जानी जाती रहेंगी। उन्होंने पूरे जीवन में कभी भी ट्यूशन नहीं किया। संत जेवियर स्कूल के पुराने शिक्षक एवं विद्यार्थी आज भी याद करते हैं कि उनके समय विद्यालय में बहुत स्तरीय सांस्कृतिक आयोजन होते रहें।

श्रीमति कृष्ण मोइत्रा का जन्म 1943 में मुंबई महानगरी में हुआ था। उनकी शिक्षा दीक्षा भी वहीं हुई थी। वहां उन्होंने उस समय भारत के शीर्ष गुरु से ओडिसी नृत्य का पूर्ण प्रशिक्षण लिया था। वह गुरुदेव रविंद्रनाथ टैगोर के नृत्य नाटिकाओं के मंचन में पारंगत थी।

मशहूर गायिका उषा उत्थप उनके मित्र थी। 90 के दशक में जब उषा उत्थप हजारीबाग में कार्यक्रम देने आई थी तब श्रीमती मोइत्रा से उनके घर में जाकर बहुत देर तक मिली थी।

अपने पीछे वह अपने दोनों पुत्रों एवं उनका भरा पूरा परिवार छोड़ कर गई है।
