शारीरिक पीड़ा से तंग आकर वृद्ध ने लगाई फांसी, घाघरा थाना क्षेत्र के चुमनु गांव में मचा शोक

गुमला, 12 अप्रैल 2025 — गुमला जिले के घाघरा थाना क्षेत्र अंतर्गत चुमनु गांव में शुक्रवार को एक 60 वर्षीय वृद्ध लक्ष्मण उरांव ने मानसिक और शारीरिक पीड़ा से तंग आकर सिंदुवार के पेड़ पर फांसी लगाकर आत्महत्या कर ली। यह हृदयविदारक घटना गांव के पास स्थित तीनकियारी बगीचा के समीप घटी, जिसने पूरे गांव को शोक में डुबो दिया।

ग्रामीणों के अनुसार, लक्ष्मण उरांव पिछले कई दिनों से पैर में गंभीर जख्म से पीड़ित थे, जिससे वे मानसिक रूप से काफी परेशान थे। आशंका जताई जा रही है कि इसी लंबे समय से चल रही बीमारी और तकलीफ ने उन्हें आत्महत्या के लिए मजबूर किया।

पुलिस ने शव को पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेजा, ग्रामीणों में मातम का माहौल

घटना की सूचना मिलने पर घाघरा थाना की पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और शव का पंचनामा कर उसे सदर अस्पताल गुमला पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेजा गया। पुलिस द्वारा मामले की जांच की जा रही है, हालांकि प्रारंभिक जांच में आत्महत्या का कारण शारीरिक पीड़ा माना जा रहा है।

गांव के बुजुर्गों और पड़ोसियों ने बताया कि लक्ष्मण उरांव शांत और सरल स्वभाव के व्यक्ति थे, लेकिन बीते कुछ महीनों से वे दर्द और तकलीफ में जीवन बिता रहे थे। इस दुखद घटना से गांव में गहरा शोक व्याप्त है।

समाज में मानसिक व शारीरिक पीड़ा के प्रति संवेदनशीलता जरूरी

यह घटना एक बार फिर ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में चिकित्सा सुविधा की कमी और मानसिक स्वास्थ्य के प्रति जागरूकता की जरूरत को रेखांकित करती है। यदि समय पर सही उपचार और सहारा मिलता, तो शायद यह दुखद घटना टल सकती थी।
