रांची, 08 मई, 2025: ओटिस वर्ल्डवाइड कॉर्पोरेशन की सहायक कंपनी, ओटिस इंडिया (एनवायएसई: ओटीआईएस), जो कि लिफ्ट और एस्केलेटर के निर्माण, स्थापना और सर्विसिंग में वैश्विक अग्रणी है, ने कंपनी के मेड टू मूव कम्युनिटीज चैलेंज के ओटिस एशिया प्रशांत क्षेत्र के परिणामों की घोषणा की है।

जादवपुर विद्यापीठ (कोलकाता) और डीएवी नंदराज पब्लिक स्कूल (रांची) के छात्रों की दो टीमों ने इस वर्ष भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व किया और अपनी उल्लेखनीय प्रविष्टियों के लिए सम्मानजनक उल्लेख अर्जित किया। यह प्रतियोगिता, हर साल छात्रों को स्टेम (विज्ञान, प्रौद्योगिकी, इंजीनियरिंग और गणित) के सिद्धांतों को लागू करने और वास्तविक दुनिया की शहरी गतिशीलता समस्या का समाधान खोजने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करती है।

इस वर्ष, प्रतियोगिता का विषय ‘एआई का उपयोग करके शहरी मोबिलिटी समाधान विकसित करना’ था। ओटिस स्वयंसेवकों की एक टीम के मार्गदर्शन में, छात्रों ने अपने समुदायों में अधिक समावेशी गतिशीलता को सक्षम करने के उद्देश्य से अभिनव समाधान डिजाइन करने के लिए एआई तकनीक का लाभ उठाया। उन्होंने ओटिस के एशिया प्रशांत क्षेत्र के स्कूलों के साथ प्रतिस्पर्धा की और पूरे क्षेत्र के ओटिस जजों के सामने अपने विचार प्रस्तुत किए।

ओटिस इंडिया के अध्यक्ष श्री सेबी जोसेफ ने छात्रों को उनके असाधारण प्रदर्शन के लिए बधाई देते हुए कहा, “हमें छात्रों के दोनों समूहों की उपलब्धि पर हर्ष हो रहा है, जिनकी प्रविष्टियाँ विशेष रूप से उल्लेखनीय रही हैं। स्टेम और एआई के उनके रचनात्मक अनुप्रयोग न केवल तकनीकी समझ को दर्शाते हैं, बल्कि अपने-अपने क्षेत्रों में वास्तविक दुनिया की शहरी गतिशीलता समस्याओं को हल करने के लिए गहरी प्रतिबद्धता को भी दर्शाते हैं।

इन छात्रों द्वारा विकसित किए गए आविष्कारशील समाधान हम सभी को प्रेरित करते हुए हमें आश्वस्त करते हैं कि हमारे शहरों का भविष्य उज्ज्वल और जुनूनी युवाओं के हाथों में है जो बेहतर कल के निर्माण के लिए समर्पित हैं। इस शानदार सफलता के लिए शुभकामनाएँ और ‘संभावनाओ’ की सीमाओं को आगे ले जाने के लिए बधाइयाँ।”

जादवपुर विद्यापीठ के छात्रों ने ‘फॉगसाइट’ विकसित किया है, जो एक एआई सेंसर-आधारित समाधान है। यह गहरे कोहरे का पता लगाता है और ऐसी कठिन परिस्थितियों में वाहन चालक को बेहतर दृश्यता प्रदान करता है, जिससे दुर्घटना का जोखिम कम होता है। इस परियोजना से स्कूल को विशेष पहचान और स्टेम शिक्षा को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए 7500 अमेरिकी डॉलर का अनुदान मिला।

नंदराज पब्लिक स्कूल के छात्रों ने ‘मदद’ नामक एक समाधान विकसित किया है, जो यह सुनिश्चित करता है कि मरीज समय पर अस्पताल पहुँच सकें। यह एक एआई-सेंसर मैकेनिज्म है, जो सड़क पर एम्बुलेंस की पहचान कर, उसके तेजी से गुजरने के लिए रास्ता साफ करने के लिए यातायात को प्रभावी ढंग से नियंत्रित करता है। इस प्रयास को प्रतियोगिता में मान्यता के साथ ही स्कूल को स्टेम शिक्षा को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए अनुदान भी मिला।
‘मेड टू मूव कम्युनिटीज़’ प्रतियोगिता के बारे में

वर्ष 2020 में शुरू की गई ‘मेड टू मूव कम्युनिटीज’ प्रतियोगिता युवा दिमागों को वास्तविक दुनिया की चुनौतियों का पता लगाने और विभिन्न समुदायों को निकट लाने और सभी के लिए गतिशीलता में सुधार करने की क्षमता वाले अभिनव समाधान विकसित करने के लिए प्रेरित करती है।

यह पहल छात्रों, शिक्षकों और ओटिस के सहयोगियों को सलाहकार के रूप में एक साथ लाती है, जिसका लक्ष्य स्टेम शिक्षा और नेतृत्व कौशल का विकास करना है, ताकि अगली पीढ़ी की प्रतिभा का विकास करने, भविष्य के कार्यबल को पूरी तरह से तैयार करने और नवाचार को बनाए रखने में मदद मिल सके।

यह कार्यक्रम, हर साल एक अलग थीम पर केंद्रित होता है, जो वैश्विक प्राथमिकताओं, जैसे- स्थिरता, पहुँच या प्रौद्योगिकी के अनुरूप होता है। इस वर्ष के विषय में छात्रों को अपने प्रस्तावों में आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस को शामिल करना था। छात्रों को गतिशीलता से संबंधित मुद्दों को हल करने के लिए स्टेम सिद्धांतों को लागू करते हुए आलोचनात्मक और रचनात्मक रूप से सोचने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया जाता है।

कार्यशालाओं, सलाह मशविरा और सहयोग के माध्यम से, प्रतिभागियों को मूल्यवान अंतर्दृष्टि और कौशल प्राप्त होते हैं, जो उन्हें समाज पर सकारात्मक प्रभाव डालते हुए भविष्य के करियर के लिए तैयार करते हैं। प्रतियोगी स्कूलों को अपने स्कूलों में चल रही स्टेम शिक्षा को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए कार्यक्रम के समापन पर अनुदान भी मिलता है।

इस वर्ष, विश्व भर के दर्जनों स्कूलों के 250 से अधिक छात्रों ने इस प्रतियोगिता में भाग लिया। आज तक, मेड टू मूव कम्युनिटीज कार्यक्रम में 1,000 से अधिक छात्र प्रतिभागी शामिल हो चुके हैं, 950 से अधिक ओटिस स्वयंसेवक सलाहकार शामिल हो चुके हैं, तथा भाग लेने वाले स्कूलों में चल रही स्टेम शिक्षा को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए कुल 1 मिलियन डॉलर से अधिक की राशि के लगभग 90 अनुदान दिए गए हैं।
