गुमला में सिकल सेल एनीमिया जांच अभियान ने पकड़ी रफ्तार, अब तक 7.5 लाख से अधिक लोगों की हुई स्क्रीनिंग

गुमला, 24 मई 2025 — झारखंड के गुमला ज़िले में सिकल सेल एनीमिया की रोकथाम और जागरूकता के लिए चलाया जा रहा विशेष स्वास्थ्य अभियान तेजी से आगे बढ़ रहा है। अब तक 8,51,054 लक्षित लोगों में से 7,52,699 की जांच की जा चुकी है, जो इस बीमारी की पहचान और नियंत्रण की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण उपलब्धि मानी जा रही है।

स्वास्थ्य विभाग द्वारा साझा किए गए आंकड़ों के अनुसार, स्क्रीनिंग के दौरान 452 व्यक्ति सिकल सेल रोग से ग्रसित पाए गए हैं, जबकि 1,866 लोग वाहक (ट्रेट कैरियर) के रूप में चिन्हित हुए हैं। इसके अतिरिक्त 1,740 मामलों में रिपोर्ट अभी अपुष्ट है, जिनकी दोबारा जांच की आवश्यकता है।

अधिकारियों ने बताया कि यह अभियान पूरी तरह नि:शुल्क है और इसका उद्देश्य लोगों को समय रहते बीमारी की जानकारी देकर उचित इलाज मुहैया कराना है। जिलेवासियों से अपील की गई है कि जिनकी अब तक जांच नहीं हो पाई है, वे अपने नजदीकी स्वास्थ्य केंद्र पर जाकर यह परीक्षण अवश्य कराएं।

स्वास्थ्य विभाग के एक अधिकारी ने कहा, “सिकल सेल एनीमिया एक गंभीर अनुवांशिक रोग है जो समय पर जांच और उपचार से नियंत्रित किया जा सकता है। हमारी कोशिश है कि जिले के हर नागरिक की जांच सुनिश्चित हो, ताकि जोखिम को कम किया जा सके।”

जानिए सिकल सेल क्या है?
सिकल सेल एनीमिया एक ऐसी स्थिति है जिसमें शरीर में ऑक्सीजन ले जाने वाले लाल रक्त कोशिकाएं अर्धचंद्राकार (सिकल शेप) हो जाती हैं और रक्त संचार में बाधा उत्पन्न करती हैं। यह बीमारी माता-पिता से बच्चों में आनुवंशिक रूप से फैलती है।

स्वास्थ्य सुरक्षा की दिशा में अहम पहल
जिले में चल रहा यह अभियान न केवल बीमारी की पहचान तक सीमित है, बल्कि इसके तहत जागरूकता शिविर, परामर्श, और फॉलो-अप इलाज की भी व्यवस्था की गई है। स्वास्थ्य विभाग का लक्ष्य है कि शत-प्रतिशत जनसंख्या की जांच कर इस बीमारी पर नियंत्रण पाया जाए।
