बिरसा कृषि विश्वविद्यालय का 45वां स्थापना दिवस समारोह: विश्वविद्यालय डिग्री बांटनेवाला संस्थान नहीं, सामाजिक दायित्व का निर्वहन करनेवाला भविष्य तैयार करे : मंत्री शिल्पी नेहा तिर्की

रांची : बिरसा कृषि विश्वविद्यालय (BAU) के 45वां स्थापना दिवस समारोह का उदघाटन राज्य की कृषि, पशुपालन एवं सहकारिता मंत्री शिल्पी नेहा तिर्की ने गुरुवार को किया. स्थापना दिवस के मौके पर कृषि अभियंत्रण महाविद्यालय भवन का उदघाटन भी मंत्री के हाथों सम्पन्ना हुआ. इसी साल कृषि अभियंत्रण महाविद्यालय को मान्यता प्राप्त हुई है.

इस मौके पर मंत्री शिल्पी नेहा तिर्की ने कहा कि विश्वविद्यालय डिग्री बांटने वाला संस्थान नहीं, बल्कि सामाजिक दायित्व का निर्वहन करनेवाला भविष्य को तैयार करने का काम करें. ये शिक्षा असल में अपने समाज, अपने राज्य और अपने देश के हित में होगा.

विश्वविद्यालय निर्माण में कार्तिक उरांव की अहम भूमिका 

उन्होंने कहा कि बिरसा कृषि विश्वविद्यालय की परिकल्पना उस वक्त की गई थी जब देश में हरित क्रांति का दौर चल रहा था. किसानों को विज्ञान और तकनीक के साथ जोड़ने की ये महत्वपूर्ण शुरुआत थी. विश्वविद्यालय के निर्माण में बाबा कार्तिक उरांव की अहम भूमिका रही है. मंत्री ने कहा कि संस्थान के सामने कई तरह की चुनौतियां है और उन तमाम चुनौतियों का सामना करने के लिए सरकार तैयार है.

मंत्री ने कहा कि छोटानागपुर के इस इलाके में कृषि विश्वविद्यालय निर्माण का उद्देश्य गांव और गांव के लोगों को उन्नत कृषि से जोड़ना और उन्हें प्रगतिशील किसान की श्रेणी में खड़ा करना रहा है. सफलता के साथ समाज के लिए कुछ करने का जज्बा ही ऐसे विश्वविद्यालय में शिक्षा का मूल मंत्र होना चाहिए.

छात्रों के बगैर यूनिवर्सिटी का औचित्य नहीं : कृषि सचिव

स्थापना दिवस को संबोधित करते हुए कांके विधायक सुरेश बैठा ने छात्रों के स्टाईपन का मुद्दा उठाया. उन्होंने कहा कि इस पर संस्थान और सरकार को सोचने की जरूरत है. कृषि, पशुपालन एवं सहकारिता विभाग के सचिव अबू बक्कर सिद्दकी ने कहा कि यूनिवर्सिटी एक पासपोर्ट की तरह है. इसी से छात्रों का भविष्य जुड़ा हुआ है. ज्ञान के लिए यूनिवर्सिटी जरूरी है. बच्चों के बगैर यूनिवर्सिटी का औचित्य नहीं है.

शिक्षकों की कमी के बावजूद प्रतियोगिता परीक्षा में सफलता मिली : कुलपति

बिरसा कृषि विश्वविदयालय के कुलपति सतीश चंद्र दुबे ने कहा कि शिक्षकों की कमी के बावजूद इस संस्थान के छात्रों ने राष्ट्रीय स्तर की प्रतियोगिता परीक्षा में सफलता अर्जित की है. संस्थान द्वारा कृषि यंत्रों का निर्माण किया गया है. राज्य भर के करीब 45 हजार किसानों को उन्नत कृषि से संबंधित प्रशिक्षण दिया गया है.

इस अवसर पर विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा तैयार पुस्तक का विमोचन अतिथियों ने किया. इसके साथ ही स्थापना दिवस समारोह में मंच से कई किसानों को सम्मानित भी किया गया. किसानों को सम्मान के तौर प्रशस्ति पत्र के साथ _ साथ बीज और पौधा दिया गया. इस मौके पर ICAR के निदेशक सुजय रक्षित सहित विश्वविद्यालय के वैज्ञानिक भी विशेष रूप से उपस्थित थे.
