गुमला :- उपायुक्त प्रेरणा दीक्षित के निर्देश के आलोक में जिले भर में “स्टॉप डायरिया” कैंपेन के तहत व्यापक जागरूकता अभियान चलाया जा रहा है। इसी क्रम में घाघरा प्रखंड अंतर्गत GUHS Totambi विद्यालय में सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य अधिकारी एवं ANM द्वारा बच्चों को डायरिया उन्मूलन हेतु प्रशिक्षित किया गया एवं SUMANK पद्धति के माध्यम से हाथ धोने के सही तरीके सिखाए गए। SUMANK का अर्थ है – S से सीधा, U से उल्टा, M से मुट्ठी, A से अंगूठा, N से नाखून और K से कलाई। बच्चों को यह भी बताया गया कि जितनी देर में 1 से 20 तक गिनती बोली जाती है, उतनी देर में हाथ धोने से कीटाणुओं का प्रभावी रूप से नाश हो जाता है।
अभियान के तहत विभिन्न विद्यालयों के पोषक क्षेत्र में जागरूकता रैलियाँ निकाली गईं, प्रार्थना सभा में शिक्षकों द्वारा डायरिया से बचाव के उपाय बताए गए, हाथ धुलाई के छह चरणों की जानकारी दी गई तथा स्वास्थ्यकर्मियों द्वारा छात्र-छात्राओं को डायरिया प्रबंधन एवं ORS घोल बनाने की विधि सिखाई गई।
उपायुक्त ने कहा कि स्वच्छता एवं जनजागरूकता के माध्यम से डायरिया जैसी बीमारियों को पूरी तरह रोका जा सकता है और जिला प्रशासन इस दिशा में निरंतर प्रयासरत है।
