“बेटी बचाओ बेटी पढ़ाओ” योजना अंतर्गत जागरूकता रथ को उपायुक्त ने हरी झंडी दिखाकर किया रवाना

गुमला: “बेटी बचाओ बेटी पढ़ाओ” योजना के तहत आज गुमला सदर अस्पताल परिसर से उपायुक्त प्रेरणा दीक्षित द्वारा जागरूकता रथ को हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना किया गया। यह जागरूकता रथ गुमला जिले के सभी प्रखंडों में भ्रमण कर आमजन को बालिकाओं के अधिकार, शिक्षा और समानता के प्रति जागरूक करेगा।

इस अवसर पर उपायुक्त ने कहा कि बेटियां समाज की शक्ति हैं। उनके प्रति भेदभाव समाप्त कर शिक्षा एवं सशक्तिकरण की दिशा में ठोस प्रयास आवश्यक हैं। उन्होंने लोगों से अपील की कि “बेटी बचाओ, बेटी पढ़ाओ” अभियान को जन-जन तक पहुँचाने में सहयोग दें।

जागरूकता रथ के माध्यम से लोगों को यह जानकारी दी जाएगी कि गर्भधारण पूर्व एवं प्रसव पूर्व निदान तकनीक (PCPNDT) अधिनियम, 1994 के तहत गर्भस्थ शिशु का लिंग परीक्षण करना, करवाना या इसके लिए सहयोग देना एवं इसका विज्ञापन करना एक कानूनी अपराध है।

कार्यक्रम के दौरान “बेटी बचाओ बेटी पढ़ाओ” योजना के तहत सदर अस्पताल में जन्मी नवजात बालिकाओं को बेबी किट एवं जन्म प्रमाण पत्र प्रदान किया गया।

इस अवसर पर सिविल सर्जन शंभू नाथ चौधरी, जिला समाज कल्याण पदाधिकारी तथा सदर अस्पताल उपाधीक्षक सहित अन्य पदाधिकारी एवं स्वास्थ्यकर्मी उपस्थित थे।
