स्कूली शिक्षा एवं साक्षरता विभाग, झारखंड सरकार अंतर्गत झारखंड शिक्षा परियोजना परिषद की अगुवाई में अंडर-17 बालक एवं बालिका वर्ग की 24 सदस्यीय झारखंड स्कूली कुश्ती टीम आज बलिया (उत्तर प्रदेश) के लिए रवाना हुई। यह टीम 69वीं SGFI राष्ट्रीय विद्यालय कुश्ती प्रतियोगिता, जो दिनांक 08 से 12 दिसंबर 2025 तक बलिया में आयोजित होगी, में फ्री-स्टाइल कुश्ती स्पर्धा में भाग लेगी। झारखंड टीम में 10 बालक एवं 10 बालिका पहलवानों के साथ 02 प्रशिक्षक और 02 टीम प्रबंधक शामिल हैं।
ज्ञात हो कि इस टीम का चयन खेलो झारखंड अंतर्गत आयोजित राज्य स्तरीय SGFI विद्यालय कुश्ती प्रतियोगिता के आधार पर किया गया था, जो 17 से 19 अक्टूबर 2025 तक खेलगाँव, होटवार में सम्पन्न हुई थी। झारखंड शिक्षा परियोजना परिषद द्वारा चयनित खिलाड़ियों को ट्रैकसूट, टी-शर्ट, खेल किट आदि प्रदान कर रांची से बलिया के लिए रवाना किया गया।
बालक वर्ग में कमलेश कुमार (45kg), ऋषि चौधरी (48kg), अंकुश कुमार (51kg), बिरेंद्र टुडू (55kg), त्रिदेव कुमार (60kg), सोनू कुमार (65kg), कुणाल कुमार (71kg), राजू यादव (80kg), आर्यन सिंह (92kg) व मनीष झा (110kg) शामिल हैं। बालकों के प्रशिक्षक राजीव रंजन तथा टीम प्रबंधक नवीन सिंह हैं।
वहीं बालिका वर्ग से प्रियंका महतो (40kg), प्राची कुजुर (43kg), शालिनी कुमारी (46kg), रिचा कुजुर (49kg), सोनामुनि हेम्ब्राम (53kg), सिलंति पिंग्वा (57kg), सूर्यमुनी सिनकु (61kg), सिमला पिंग्वा (65kg), सुमति मिंज (69kg) एवं तन्नु कुमारी (69kg) प्रतियोगिता में राज्य का प्रतिनिधित्व करेंगी। बालिका टीम की प्रशिक्षक ईशा कुमारी तथा टीम प्रबंधक सुमन कुमारी हैं।झारखंड शिक्षा परियोजना परिषद एवं राज्य खेल कोषांग द्वारा पूरी टीम को शुभकामनाएँ देते हुए प्रतियोगिता में उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन की उम्मीद जताई गई है।
