गुमला में कोटपा एक्ट के तहत विशेष जांच अभियान, कई दुकानों पर कार्रवाई

गुमला : – गुमला उपायुक्त प्रेरणा दीक्षित के निर्देशानुसार आज शनिवार को गुमला पार्क के पास खाद्य सुरक्षा पदाधिकारी प्रकाश चंद्र गुगी के नेतृत्व में कोटपा एक्ट (COTPA) के तहत विशेष जांच एवं छापेमारी अभियान चलाया गया।

अभियान के दौरान सनी कुमार, प्रिंस कुमार गुप्ता, अमन गुप्ता एवं आरोग्य अमृत तुल्य और कई प्रतिष्ठानों में गहन जांच की गई।
जांच के क्रम में सभी प्रतिष्ठानों में अधिनियम 2003 के तहत संबंधित दुकानदारों पर अर्थदंड लगाया गया।

अभियान के दौरान प्रमुख निर्देश एवं चेतावनी

शैक्षणिक संस्थानों के 100 गज के दायरे में तंबाकू उत्पादों की बिक्री पूर्णतः प्रतिबंधित है। सार्वजनिक स्थलों पर तंबाकू उत्पादों की बिक्री या सेवन दंडनीय अपराध है। 21 वर्ष से कम आयु के व्यक्तियों को तंबाकू उत्पाद बेचना कानूनन अपराध है। सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र में तंबाकू बेचते या खाते हुए पाए जाने पर कोटपा एक्ट के तहत सख्त अर्थदंड एवं कानूनी कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

जागरूकता अपील

खाद्य सुरक्षा विभाग द्वारा दुकानदारों और आमजन को यह भी बताया गया कि बच्चों और युवाओं को तंबाकू की लत से बचाने के लिए सभी को कानून का पालन करना आवश्यक है।
साथ ही नागरिकों से अपील की गई कि वे किसी भी प्रकार की अवैध तंबाकू बिक्री या सेवन की जानकारी प्रशासन को अवश्य दें।
