स्कूली शिक्षा एवं साक्षरता विभाग, झारखंड सरकार अंतर्गत झारखंड शिक्षा परियोजना परिषद की अगुवाई में मध्य प्रदेश के उमरिया में आयोजित 69वीं राष्ट्रीय स्तरीय स्कूली फुटबॉल प्रतियोगिता में झारखंड की अंडर-14 बालक फुटबॉल टीम ने इतिहास रच दिया है।
आज खेले गए रोमांचक फाइनल मुकाबले में झारखंड के जांबाज खिलाड़ियों ने पंजाब को 6-5 के पेनल्टी शूटआउट (टाइब्रेकर) में हराकर चैंपियन बनने का गौरव हासिल किया। पूरी प्रतियोगिता में टीम ने लगातार बेहतर तालमेल, रणनीति, अनुशासन और जज़्बे का शानदार प्रदर्शन किया।
प्रतियोगिता 1 दिसंबर से 6 दिसंबर 2025 तक उमरिया जिला मुख्यालय स्थित अमर शहीद स्टेडियम में आयोजित हुई।
इस उपलब्धि के हीरो रहे झारखंड के शैलेश बेहरा, जिन्हें टूर्नामेंट में शानदार प्रदर्शन के लिए बेस्ट प्लेयर अवॉर्ड से सम्मानित किया गया।
टीम के कोच इमरान खान और मैनेजर जितेंद्र कच्छप के कुशल नेतृत्व में खिलाड़ियों ने पूरे राज्य का सिर गर्व से ऊँचा किया है।
राज्य कार्यक्रम पदाधिकारी धीरसेन ए. सोरेंग ने टीम को बधाई देते हुए कहा फुटबॉल राज्य का सबसे लोकप्रिय खेल है। शिक्षा विभाग द्वारा ‘खेलो झारखंड’ के माध्यम से खिलाड़ियों को मंच देने का जो कार्य किया गया है, उसका शानदार परिणाम अब सामने आ रहा है। चौथे वर्ष में ही राज्य के खिलाड़ी राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर नए कीर्तिमान स्थापित कर रहे हैं।”
इस उपलब्धि पर राज्‍य के मुख्यमंत्री श्री हेमंत सोरेन, शिक्षा सचिव उमाशंकर सिंह, परियोजना निदेशक शशि रंजन, प्रशासी पदाधिकारी सच्चिदानंद द्विवेदी तिग्गा, राज्य कार्यक्रम पदाधिकारी धीरसेन ए. सोरेंग एवं राज्य खेल कोषांग के सभी सदस्यों ने खिलाड़ियों को हार्दिक बधाई दी और उनके उज्जवल भविष्य की कामना किया है।
