स्कूली शिक्षा एवं साक्षरता विभाग, झारखंड सरकार के अंतर्गत झारखंड शिक्षा परियोजना परिषद, रांची की मेजबानी में पूर्वी जोन बैंड प्रतियोगिता का शुभारंभ कल 15 दिसंबर 2025 को खेल गांव स्थित मेगा स्पोर्ट्स कॉम्प्लेक्स में किया जाएगा। इस प्रतिष्ठित प्रतियोगिता में पूर्वी भारत के 11 राज्यों से आए पाइप एवं ब्रास बैंड की स्कूली बालक–बालिका टीमें प्रतिभागी के रूप में हिस्सा लेंगी।
प्रतियोगिता में भाग लेने वाले सभी 11 राज्यों के प्रतिभागी आज 14 दिसंबर को संध्या समय तक झारखंड पहुंच चुके हैं। प्रतियोगिता का उद्घाटन कल प्रातः 10:00 बजे स्कूली शिक्षा एवं साक्षरता विभाग, झारखंड सरकार के सचिव श्री उमाशंकर सिंह द्वारा किया जाएगा। वहीं प्रतियोगिता का समापन समारोह संध्या 4:00 बजे आयोजित होगा, जिसके मुख्य अतिथि राजस्व, निबंधन एवं परिवहन मंत्री, झारखंड सरकार श्री दीपक बिरुवा होंगे।
यह बैंड प्रतियोगिता रक्षा मंत्रालय एवं शिक्षा मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार के संयुक्त दिशा-निर्देशों के अंतर्गत आयोजित की जाती है।जिसमें देश के चारों जोनों के विजेता प्रतिभागी गणतंत्र दिवस के अवसर पर आयोजित राष्ट्रीय बैंड प्रतियोगिता में भाग लेते हैं। राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर विजेता बनने वाली बैंड टीम को 26 जनवरी के अवसर पर कर्तव्य पथ पर बैंड प्रस्तुति देने का गौरव प्राप्त होता है। उल्लेखनीय है कि पिछले वर्ष यह स्वर्णिम अवसर झारखंड की बैंड टीम को प्राप्त हुआ था।
प्रतियोगिता में शामिल होने पहुंचे खिलाड़ियों का आज गर्मजोशी से स्वागत किया गया। राज्य कार्यक्रम पदाधिकारी सह आयोजन सचिव श्री धीरसेन ए. सोरेंग द्वारा प्रतिभागियों को पारंपरिक झारखंडी बढ़िया गमछा पहनाकर अभिनंदन किया गया। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने बताया कि प्रतियोगिता के सफल आयोजन हेतु सभी आवश्यक तैयारियां पूरी कर ली गई हैं।
