गिरिडीह चैम्बर ऑफ कॉमर्स की पांच सदस्यीय टीम ने केन्द्रीय मंत्री अन्नपूर्णां देवी के नेतृत्व में रेलमंत्री से मुलाकात की,गिरिडीह से कोलकाता-पटना सीधी रेल सेवा की मांग दोहराई, मंत्री ने दिया भरोसा

गिरिडीह (कमलनयन) : प्राकृतिक संपदा और संस्कृति विरासत को समेटे झारखंड के ऐतिहासिक शहर गिरिडीह के जनमानस को गिरिडीह-कोलकाता और गिरिडीह- पटना के लिए सीधी रेल सेवा की कितनी नितांत जरूरत है। इसका सहज ही अनुमान लगाया जा सकता है कि इस मांग को लेकर देश के पूर्वी क्षेत्र की सबसे बड़ी स्टील मंडी के प्रतिष्ठित औद्योगिक घरानों के निदेशकों, जिनमें मोंगिया स्टील, सलूजा स्टील समेत गिरिडीह चैम्बर ऑफ कॉमर्स की पांच सदस्यीय टीम ने केन्द्रीय मंत्री अन्नपूर्णां देवी के नेतृत्व में रेलमंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव से दिल्ली में मुलाकात कर ज्ञापन सौंपा।

इस दौरान टीम में शामिल डा. गुणवंत सिंह मोंगिया, कोलकाता जोन जेडआरयूसीसी सदस्य भाई मुकेश जालान, भाई प्रदीप अग्रवाल, सीए विकास खेतान ने दोनों शहरों के लिए सीधी रेल सेवा देने की मांग को रेल मंत्री के समक्ष लॉजिकली मजबूती से रखा। मंत्री ने कहा कि गिरिडीह-कोलकाता-पटना सीधी रेल सुविधा होने से न सिर्फ रोजाना सैकड़ों यात्रियों की सफर सरल होगी, बल्कि रेलवे के राजस्व का इजाफा होगा। व्यापार बढ़ने से अर्थव्यस्था बढ़ेगी, सभी वर्गों के लिए रोजगार के अवसर होंगे।

इस बाबत शिष्टमंडल ने बताया कि रेल मंत्री ने संजीदगी से यथासंभव दोनों शहरों के लिए रेल सुविधा से गिरिडीह को जोड़ने पर आश्वासन दिया। इसमें गया-हावड़ा वंदे भारत को सप्ताह में कम से कम तीन दिन कोडरमा- न्यू गिरिडीह भाया मधुपुर में ठहराव के लिए भरोसा दिया गया। वहीं पटना के लिए भी सप्ताह में तीन दिन बनारस-जसीडीह वंदे भारत को मधुपुर-भाया न्यू गिरिडीह में ठहराव की मांग पर रेल मंत्री ने यथासंभव ठहराव का आश्वासन दिया। इसके अलावा कोडरमा-गिरिडीह लाइन के दोहरीकरण पर रेल मंत्री ने कहा कि यह प्रक्रिया जारी है।

कोविड काल में बंद हुई कोच व्यवस्था फिर बहाल से नहीं हुई

दरअसल, गिरिडीह नगर में रेल सेवा की शुरुआत आजादी के पहले ब्रिटिश सरकार ने 1871 में खनिजों के भंडारण और परिवहन के लिए रेलवे साइडिंग के रूप में की थी। बाद के वर्षों 1901 में पूर्ण रेलवे स्टेशन का दर्जा मिला और फिर  गिरिडीह-मधुपुर के लिए एक अदद पैसेन्ज़र ट्रेन की शुरुआत हुई। शुरूआती कालखंड में रोजाना तीन फेरों से हुई और आज तक तीन चार फेरों से आगे नहीं बढ़ी|

हालांकि अस्सी के दशक में रात्रीकालीन गिरिडीह-मधुपुर पैसेन्जर ट्रेन में कलकत्ता एवं पटना के लिए कोच की व्यवस्था शुरूआत हुर्ई, जिससे यात्रियों को काफी लाभ मिलता रहा लेकिन कोविड काल में बंद हुई कोच व्यवस्था फिर बहाल नही हुई। उसके बाद से ही लगातार दोनों शहरों के लिए सीधी रेल सेवा की मांग की जा रही है।

हालांकि एनडीए (1) में गिरिडीह में एक और नया न्यू गिरिडीह रेल स्टेशन चालू हुआ, जहां से गिरिडीह, कोडरमा, रांची के लिए रेल सुविधा दी गई, लेकिन कोलकाता-पटना के लिए सीधे कोई अन्य ट्रेन नहीं चलायी गईI

मौजूदा समय में गिरिडीह से कोलकाता और पटना जाने वाले यात्रियों को करीब 40 किलोमीटर मधुपुर या पारसनाथ स्टेशन अथवा 60 किलोमीटर सड़क मार्ग का सफर तय कर धनबाद रेलवे स्टेशन से रेल सुविधा प्राप्त होती है, जो सभी वर्गों के लिए व्यावहरिक नही है।
