गुमला | गुमला जिले के पालकोट थाना क्षेत्र अंतर्गत पाट पहाड़ के पास मंगलवार को एक भीषण सड़क दुर्घटना में अमोनिया गैस से लदे टैंकर के चालक की मौके पर ही दर्दनाक मौत हो गई। यह हादसा राष्ट्रीय उच्च पथ-23 पर निझर नाला के समीप हुआ।
प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार, रांची से ओडिशा के झारसुगुड़ा जा रहा अमोनिया गैस से भरा टैंकर (वाहन संख्या जेएच-01 एफसी 0588) सामने से आ रहे एक टाटा मैजिक वाहन को बचाने के प्रयास में अनियंत्रित होकर सड़क के बीचों-बीच पलट गया। दुर्घटना के बाद टैंकर का चालक केबिन में बुरी तरह फंस गया, जिससे उसकी घटनास्थल पर ही मौत हो गई।
मृतक की पहचान 40 वर्षीय अजय कुमार सिंह के रूप में हुई है, जो बिहार राज्य के नालंदा जिले के सकरौदा गांव का निवासी बताया जा रहा है।
घटना की सूचना मिलते ही पालकोट थाना प्रभारी तरुण कुमार पुलिस बल के साथ मौके पर पहुंचे और स्थानीय ग्रामीणों से पूछताछ की। टैंकर के अंदर फंसे चालक के शव को बाहर निकालने के लिए पुलिस को काफी मशक्कत करनी पड़ी। अंततः जेसीबी मशीन की सहायता से शव को बाहर निकाला गया।
टैंकर में मौजूद उप चालक कुणाल कुमार से पूछताछ में उसने बताया कि मृतक अजय कुमार सिंह उसके चाचा थे। उसने अपने परिजनों को फोन के माध्यम से घटना की जानकारी दे दी है।
पुलिस ने शव को अपने कब्जे में लेकर गुमला सदर अस्पताल स्थित पोस्टमार्टम हाउस के शीतगृह में सुरक्षित रखवा दिया है। पुलिस के अनुसार, परिजनों के आने के बाद पोस्टमार्टम की प्रक्रिया पूरी कर शव उन्हें सौंप दिया जाएगा।
फिलहाल पुलिस दुर्घटना के कारणों की जांच में जुटी हुई है।
