गुमला जिले में फाइलेरिया उन्मूलन हेतु विशेष MDA अभियान का शुभारंभ, उपायुक्त ने स्वयं दवा सेवन कर की शुरुआत

गुमला : – गुमला जिला मुख्यालय में फाइलेरिया उन्मूलन की दिशा में गुमला जिले में दिनांक 10 से 25 फरवरी तक विशेष सामूहिक औषधि सेवन (MDA) कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। इसी क्रम में आज उपायुक्त गुमला, प्रेरणा दीक्षित द्वारा इस अभियान का विधिवत शुभारंभ किया गया। कार्यक्रम के दौरान उपायुक्त ने स्वयं दवा का सेवन कर अभियान की शुरुआत की तथा उपस्थित सभी अधिकारियों एवं कर्मियों ने भी एक साथ दवा का सेवन कर आमजनों को फाइलेरिया जैसी गंभीर बीमारी से बचाव हेतु जागरूक किया।
इस अवसर पर उप विकास आयुक्त गुमला दिलेश्वर महतो, अपर समाहर्ता गुमला शशिंद्र कुमार बड़ाइक, DCLR गुमला राजीव कुमार, अनुमंडल पदाधिकारी सदर राजीव नीरज, सिविल सर्जन गुमला शंभूनाथ चौधरी, MDA को ऑर्डिनेटर शर्मिला शर्मा सहित विभिन्न जिला स्तरीय विभागों के पदाधिकारी, ANM एवं स्वास्थ्यकर्मी उपस्थित रहे।
उपायुक्त ने अपने संबोधन में कहा कि फाइलेरिया उन्मूलन जिले की प्राथमिक जिम्मेदारी है। यह दवा पूरी तरह सुरक्षित है तथा इसका सेवन अत्यंत आवश्यक है। उन्होंने सहिया एवं ANM को इस अभियान का मुख्य आधार बताते हुए कहा कि आप सभी की कार्य करने की इच्छा शक्ति से ही बड़े बदलाव संभव हैं। यदि आज भी हम ऐसी रोके जाने योग्य बीमारियों से जूझ रहे हैं तो इसका अर्थ है कि हमें और अधिक गंभीरता से कार्य करना होगा। आने वाले वर्षों में तकनीक के कारण अनेक बदलाव होंगे, ऐसे में यह जरूरी है कि हमारे नागरिक गंभीर बीमारियों से सुरक्षित रहें, क्योंकि फाइलेरिया जैसी बीमारी एक बार हो जाने पर लाइलाज हो जाती है। यह बीमारी एक विशेष प्रकार के मच्छर के काटने से फैलती है, इसलिए इसके उन्मूलन के लिए सामूहिक प्रयास अनिवार्य हैं। उन्होंने स्वास्थ्य कर्मियों से कहा कि घर घर जाकर दवा खिलाने के वक्त शायद नागरिक दवा खाने से मना करें, ऐसे में उनका काउंसलिंग करना भी आपकी जिम्मेदारी रहेगी।उन्होंने कहा कि किसी भी प्रकार की परेशानी होने पर सीधे उपायुक्त कार्यालय से संपर्क किया जा सकता है।

ज्ञात हो कि इस MDA कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत जिले के सभी चिन्हित बूथों, जिनमें विद्यालय एवं आंगनवाड़ी केंद्र शामिल हैं, पर फाइलेरिया से बचाव हेतु दो प्रकार की दवाएं डाइएथाइलकार्बामाजीन (DEC) एवं एल्बेंडाजोल (Albendazole) खिलाई जाएंगी। इसके साथ ही डोर-टू-डोर कार्यक्रम के माध्यम से स्वास्थ्यकर्मी प्रत्येक घर जाकर पात्र लाभार्थियों को दवा खिलाएंगे, ताकि कोई भी व्यक्ति इस अभियान से वंचित न रह जाए।
इस अवसर पर सिविल सर्जन गुमला, शंभूनाथ चौधरी ने बताया कि फाइलेरिया बीमारी क्यूलेक्स (Culex) प्रजाति के मच्छर के काटने से होती है, जिससे हाथ-पैर में सूजन आ जाती है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह बीमारी एक बार हो जाने पर ठीक नहीं होती, इसलिए इससे बचाव ही सबसे प्रभावी उपाय है। उन्होंने बताया कि 10 से 25 फरवरी तक चलने वाले इस कार्यक्रम को जन आंदोलन का रूप देते हुए सभी को स्वयं दवा का सेवन करना है तथा लक्षित समुदाय तक दवा पहुंचानी है। उन्होंने स्पष्ट किया कि 10 वर्ष से कम आयु के बच्चे, गर्भवती महिलाएं एवं गंभीर बीमारी से ग्रसित व्यक्तियों को दवा नहीं खिलाई जानी है।
कार्यक्रम के दौरान आमजनों में जागरूकता फैलाने हेतु नुक्कड़ नाटक का आयोजन किया गया तथा जागरूकता रथ को भी रवाना किया गया, जिससे फाइलेरिया उन्मूलन का संदेश जिले के दूर-दराज़ क्षेत्रों तक पहुंच सके।

उपायुक्त ने जिले के सभी नागरिकों से अपील की है कि वे इस अभियान में सक्रिय भागीदारी निभाएं, दवा का सेवन अवश्य करें तथा गुमला को फाइलेरिया मुक्त बनाने में सहयोग करें।
