गोमिया— हाथी के हमले में जान गंवाने वाले गोमिया प्रखंड के कंडेर निवासी सुकरा महतो के आश्रित परिवार को शुक्रवार को बड़ी राहत मिली। पेयजल एवं स्वच्छता सह उत्पाद एवं मद्य निषेध विभाग के मंत्री योगेंद्र प्रसाद ने टीटीपीएस स्थित श्यामली गेस्ट हाउस में आयोजित कार्यक्रम के दौरान मृतक की पत्नी गन्दोरी देवी को 3 लाख 75 हजार रुपये की मुआवजा राशि का चेक सौंपा। इस दौरान उन्होंने पीड़ित परिवार को हरसंभव सरकारी सहायता का भरोसा भी दिलाया।
मंत्री जी ने कहा कि राज्य सरकार हाथी हमले जैसी दुखद घटनाओं से प्रभावित परिवारों के साथ पूरी संवेदनशीलता के साथ खड़ी है। उन्होंने कहा कि वन्यजीवों के हमले में जान गंवाने वाले लोगों के आश्रितों को समय पर सहायता उपलब्ध कराना सरकार की प्राथमिकता है। साथ ही मुआवजा राशि में वृद्धि किए जाने को लेकर भी सरकार गंभीरतापूर्वक विचार कर रही है, ताकि पीड़ित परिवारों को अधिक आर्थिक संबल मिल सके।
उन्होंने बताया कि घटना के तत्काल बाद आश्रित परिवार को राहत स्वरूप 25 हजार रुपये की सहायता राशि उपलब्ध करा दी गई थी। अब निर्धारित प्रावधानों के तहत 3 लाख 75 हजार रुपये की मुआवजा राशि का भुगतान किया गया है।
मंत्री ने अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिया कि वन्यजीवों से प्रभावित परिवारों को राहत एवं मुआवजा देने की प्रक्रिया में किसी प्रकार की अनावश्यक देरी नहीं होनी चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार का उद्देश्य है कि आपदा की घड़ी में पीड़ित परिवारों को त्वरित सहायता मिले और उन्हें किसी प्रकार की परेशानी का सामना न करना पड़े।
कार्यक्रम में गोमिया प्रखंड के प्रखंड विकास पदाधिकारी (बीडीओ)महादेव कुमार महतो सहित वन विभाग एवं प्रशासन के संबंधित अधिकारी और कर्मी मौजूद रहे।
